“I will never go back”

When I got there, the hostess was no nice, then inside my room the toilet was clogged, and finally I wanted to eat something and the restaurant either the room service were not available, so I wasn't able to eat nothing...I will never go back!!

“Good Stop for the Night away from Mexico City”

I stayed at the Microtel Inn at Toluca. The Microtel was not too difficult to drive to, involving a U-turn. The staff was very friendly and kind as I attempted to check into the hotel in very bad spanish. They were very accomodating. Microtel does not offer trundle beds or cots, but our room with two double beds had a bay window with a thick cushion which provided me with the room for a third person. Rooms were nicer than I expected, beds were comfortable. Staff provided me with extra blankets without any problems. The staff was knowledgeable with English, but spoke with me in Spanish to help me learn. Those who spoke english spoke well, and courteously. This particular day my group was offered "happy hour" from 6-7pm. Free mexican beer (in can), and bottles of wine were provided on the counter as well as bowls of snacks: held in the breakfast room. Breakfast was decent offering a smattering of coffee, pastries, breads, cereals, juices, and even eggs. Parking was free. We ate at a seafood restaurant on the other side of the highway. There were three restaurants to choose from, all of different styles, and all seemed interesting. This hotel room seemed to be of standards I find in the United States, and there was nothing unremarkable to detail.

Area recommendations
I did not explore much of this city, but this seemed a decent area for a one night stay. Not for partying or clubbing, but more of a business/industry area.
