Nice & Clean Hotel

Pros: Everything was clean.
Cons: I probably would add a little more to the continental breakfast.
Location: There was plenty of restaurants within a 5 mile radius.
First impression, hotel was fresh and clean. I would stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I am very picky and I pay attention to the small stuff. This was a very accommodating hotel.

Many things broken

I checked into this hotel after a ten hour drive because I was exhausted and the weather had gotten bad. The check-in staff was very nice and got me quickly into my room. The hotel grounds, common areas and even the room looked nice and inviting. The bed was comfortable. That's the extent of the good things. My shower head was broken which made taking my shower almost impossible, but because it was already 23:30, I didn't want to deal with changing rooms. Next, the wifi wasn't functioning correctly. I spoke with the front desk staff several times and even walked down to the front desk to speak with the attendant (a different person from check-in), and each time he was less than helpful and didn't act like he cared. The heater didn't regulate the heat to the temperature I set it to, it was much too hot. I'd set it to 68 but it felt like 80. Made it difficult to sleep. The breakfast spread was minimal at best. Soggy biscuits and bland eggs and sausage.

Pros: Great rate. Great Property!
Location: Close to shopping, restaurants and the interstate.
We enjoyed our stay at BW Topeka. The hotel is in a good location. Its quiet and comfortable.

Hotel was easy to find and convenient right off of hwy 70 west. Pleasant and friendly staff. A good hot breakfast. Clean room. We would stay there again.

Horrible. I did not know the 2 story hotel had no elevators and could not get a room change to the first floor despite there being only 2 cars in the parking lot on Thanksgiving night. The coffee maker did not work and the mini-fridge did not get cold. Employees were friendly and offered to put my food in hotel fridge. For these problems, I would recommend Hotel 6 across the street for 1/2 the price.

disappointed

Not good from the start...desk clerk was gone when we got there. Had left a note would return in 5 min. Customers ahead of us said they'd been waiting 15 min already. After a while, I called the hotel number. Clerk answered and came to the desk after a few more minutes. Next, when we booked the room, there was nothing in the terms & conditions about extra fees for pets. We always specifically check for that. Clerk said we would have to pay $45 per night in pet fees. Finally settled on $25 per night, but not sure clerk understood the dishonesty in not disclosing all fees. Hallway and room carpets were very dirty. Made the room unappealing. Outside card scanners stopped working during the night. Had to use main entrance to take pets out and to load our pickup with all of the equipment and files we travel with.

Pet friendly place to stay

The hotel was conveniently located to the highway and easy to find. Desk staff was helpful and friendly. The mirror in the room was not wiped down and could have been cleaner. Rest of the surfaces, tub, etc were clean though. There's no elevator or central stair case which was a little bit of an annoyance, but there's only two floors so it wasn't too bad. The hotel is pet friendly and had the best rate in town for four legged travelers.
