Pros: Proximity to activities.
Cons: Cleanliness of carpet.

Carpet in the room was soiled. TV in room did not initially work but quickly fixed upon request.

Topeka Country InnPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Felt warm and friendly when arrived. Smelled great when entered the room. not the usual stale odors like most hotels have.
Location: Very close to I-70 and restaurants near by
Best hotel for the money. Clean, friendly staff and great rates.

One Night StayPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was helpful and pleasant
Location: Many dining options nearby
Our nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. The room needed a fresh coat of paint on the walls, many scratches and marks on the walls. The chalking at the base of the toilet was stained. The toilet also sounded like a steam engine after flushing for several minutes. This Country Inn wasn't as nice as the others we've stayed at, I won't be stopping at this one again.

We love this place!Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Always welcoming, great staff!
Location: Lots in this area. Walk or drive to many restaurants both local and national. Gas, Bank & Liquor store across the street, easy access two main hwys.
My sister's and I always stay here when we come to Topeka for family business. We wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, even when we show up really late at night and don't make much sense. They are always so helpful. We especially love the fresh baked cookies and the manager, Chris. I mean Chris and then the cookies (-; The pool and hot tub are always welcoming and having a nice breakfast with a wide variety of choices. We always find someone nice to talk to everyday whether it is the staff or even their customers. We can't wait to go back!

OKPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our stay was OK. We were given a handicap accessible room which was fine but the handheld shower was a disaster while trying to bathe small children for a shower. Also, the drain was SO slow...it's icky standing in 3 inches of gross, soapy water. Also, there was a spider in the bathroom when we arrived. Yikes. The room we were in was getting really worn and tired. A bedside lampshade was slightly smashed and hardly hanging on the light....reminiscent of junky hotels we try to stay away from. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool/spa is new and nice. Just an OK stay...not a WOW. For $20 more, we could have had a newer and nicer hotel.

Let downPosted Jun 1, 2014
Didn't get the rooms we were expecting. We had seven people and we got two rooms with king beds instead of suites. Rooms were worth the 179.00 price.

Not close to where I was attending a all schoolPosted May 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room had a musty mold smell. The bed still had winter bed comforter on. Had to remove and hunt for a blanket. Breakfast toaster only brown on one side. Had to wait for desk clerk to put more orange juice in and then she said it was frozen. When my Son brought me in had to wait for desk clerk. After I told her my name she gave me a piece of paper to sign said that is all I need her is you key. No comment if you need anything call. I have stayed in 3 others in Topeka and this was the worse and the most expensive for a 92 year old lady. I was the only one to occupy the room. I was in town to celebrate my all school reunion. I realize there was racing in town but why gouge an out of town person. Thanks

We stayed 2 nights for the drag races in Topeka and overall it was a great stay. The only issues we had were there is no air in the living room of suite and there is no vent in the bathroom which made showering a bit uncomfortable but we will definitely plan to stay there again! Melissa was AWESOME and we hope she is there when we go back!
