The pool was closed for renovation which is fine but should be a way for us to be notified of that. However we were able to use the pool next door which was a short walk away..Not a big deal but should be notified of the situation.

The walls are paper thin! Conversations from the rooms next door could be heard clearly, very distracting when you’re trying to sleep. If you’re coming with a pet, prepare to pay a non refundable $75 dollar fee that is not mentioned anywhere until they spring it on you upon check I .

If you are looking for first-class customer service, this is the place! We were super disappointed that the hot tub was closed. It was the only reason we chose this hotel over a competing hotel. HOWEVER, I spoke to the management and they went above and beyond to make it up to us. Thank you!

We were disappointed by the lack of drinkable water. This issue should have been conveyed other than by an obscure sign. I hope no guests get ill from unknowingly drinking the water that they should not be drinking. Hampton should have provided bottled water to their thirsty guests.

The location is perfect with many food choices nearby. Breakfast was good as usual. My grandkids love the pool and breakfast. We stay here every time we go to Topeka to visit family.

The shower head was broken and the door to the shower was cracked as well. The microwave buttons didn’t work. The only button I could get to work was the add 30 seconds button. If you have a dog you can’t leave it in the room to go eat or take it with you to the pool so make sure you go through fast food drive through if you want to eat.

Almost perfect
The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The room was great plenty of space and I wanted to give 5 stars but the bed was not comfortable at all. Some may say it was great, but for me it didn’t pass the comfortable test.

The room was very nice. Didn’t like the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway was very strong. Breakfast could have been better and hot tub could have been not so slimy.

The room was very clean and quiet. My wife & I checked in and the first thing we noted was limited seating - no couch, just a side chair in the corner and an office type chair. You could see the TV from the office chair or the bed. Not a good place for a couple wanting to relax in the room after a day's travel. Probably well suited for a single business traveler.

Pet Friendly
It was an average stay. I picked the hotel because i have a dog, and it is pet friendly. However nowhere on the website does it say there is a $70 non-refundable fee. If it had been earlier in the day, and i was not so tired from spending four days moving, i would have looked for another hotel. I love the fact that you are a pet friendly hotel. But the fee needs to be up front, meaning somewhere on the app so people know in advance that therw is a fee, and the amount of it. We have a special needs dog, and I'm fine with paying a small fee. But knowing in advance would have made a difference, because we could have looked for a different place to stay.

We were next to the gym, so lots of banging noises when people stopped weights on the floor. Beds were hard as a rock, hotel overall was in good shape and if it wasn't for the beds, we would stay there again.
