“Perfect Break”

My 18 year old son and I were traveling across country and the Hyatt Place Topeka was like an oasis for us. On our trip out we drove through the night but on the way back decided we needed a break. I had anticipated this and booked ahead through Expedia. My son couldn't stop raving about how great this hotel was. He thought he was in some high class downtown hotel. Every single staff member was polite and friendly, and the rooms and common areas were very clean. Breakfast was just fine. It was a great place to stop along I-70.

This hotel used to be the AmeriaSuites. Hyatt has completely redone everything and it was very nice and clean. I would recommend it to anyone needing a convienient location and a quality hotel in Topeka.

“Very nice motel and would use again.”

The Hyatt Place was very nice. The King Bed suite was spaciouse, clean and very comportable. It had a couch and nice flatscreen TV, a half bath/shower with seperate lavatory. The breakfast area was very good with a variety of breakfast items or a special breakfast cook could do other menu items on order.

“March 5, 2010 Stay”

I booked a room via Expedia.com for March 5, 2010. When I arrived at the hotel concierge, a staff named Mary helped me with check-in. The staff was very friendly and even took her time to personally show me around the fitness center, breakfast area, lobby area, and the elevators. Once I got into my room, the staff even called my hotel phone number and asked me if the room was to my satisfaction. The room looked spacious and the 42-inch high-def TV was a big plus. The room was clean and there was a certain aromatic smell all around the hotel, which I immediately noticed the moment I entered the lobby. The Portico products were a good choice for hotel amenities as they smell good and easy to use. The hotel property was near many national restaurant chains, Big K-Mart, Best Buy, and a mall (this mall has Panda Express in it). The only negative comment I have about the hotel was the slippery bathtub. Please exercise caution when you enter or exit the tub as you might fall off. Otherwise, the hotel and staff were great!

“Highly Recommended”

My family of 4 (with 2 boys under 10) stayed at this hotel. The hotel is located easily just off 70. Lovely grounds. The hotel was very clean. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful. The room was spacious and clean - and even smelled clean! I thought it was very modern-looking and loved the sectional couch/hide-a-bed and the big flat screen. The beds were quite comfortable. We loved the pool and the fact that there is a bin of clean fresh towels right there at pool-side. The pool was clean and a perfect warm temperature. We had dinner there, and were able to choose from a selection of sandwiches, salads, pizza, dessert, etc, at any time of the day or night. There is also a bar and the bartender was lovely! The free breakfast was quite sufficient: cereals, bagels, toast, muffins, bicuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. Good coffee! There are also lots of dining options within 5-10 minutes away. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

“"TOPEKA'S BEST HOTEL"”

I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW FOR A HOTEL,BUT LET ME SAY, I HAD TO WRITE THIS ONE. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT. THE STAFF WAS VERY,VERY FRIENDLY. THE AREA WHERE THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IS TOP NOTCH. THE ROOM WAS JUST FABULOUS. YOU COULD EAT OF THE BATHROOM FLOOR.THIS SHOULD BE LISTED AS A 4 STAR HOTEL IN MY OPINION. WHEN I GO BACK TO TOPEKA, I WILL STAY AT NO OTHER HOTEL BUT THIS ONE.
