“A Lot Nicer”
Traveling with our small dog, we had a lovely updated room on the 1st floor that had sliding glass door to a patio that went out to a GREAT park with rolling hills, frisbee golf, skate board park, jogging trail. Beds and pillows were comfy and CLEAN. Bkfst - okay, usual. Room did not have a refrigerator so we just used our cooler and ice from machine.
“Good quality hotel”
We thought this was a very good quality hotel at a reasonable price. It had the ammenities that we were looking for. This is the second stay at this hotel and we plan on staying there again in the future. A big plus is the extemely convenient location to the KU campus.
“Great dog friendly room!”
We had a room on the first floor with an outdoor patio that led into a park. It was great for our 2 dogs. Only problem, they ran out of "hot" foods by 7:30 am & we were told there would be no more.
“satisfied”
The building was a really old design ,but was kept in very good condition. We were very comfortable and happy with our stay. In the breakfast room there is a lot more food than meets the eye , make sure you look in all the containers before you make your choices.
“Solid place to stay”
NIce place to stay. Room had all the basics and comforts you expect, nothing above and beyond. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. A little tough to get into parking lot. All and all a good stay.
“Probably won't be back”
The hotel was OK; however, the smoking and non-smoking rooms were mixed together. For instance, every other room was a smoking room, so even though we requested (and got) a non-smoking room, there were 3 smoking rooms around ours. This made the halls smell like smoke. We couldn't smell the smoke inside our room, but the halls were musty and smoky. As a suggestion to hotel management, I would make one end of each floor or even an entire floor a smoking floor, that way non-smoking and smoking rooms wouldn't have to share the same ventilation systems.
“Lawrence Quality inn”
The place was run down. Very old. The staff were very pleasant. It appeared dirty or maybe just dingy. The sheets were clean, the bathrooms were clean, and the internet was free. The coffee was bad, it tasted instant, and they did not open their breakfast until 7am. Very late for travelers.
“You get what you pay for”
The hotel was nice enough. It was older but faily clean
“Friendly service; adequate room”
The hotel front desk staff was very friendly and helpful (particularly Amber). The room and basic hotel amenities were adequate for an overnight stay. The room was comfortable and had all that we needed for our short stay.
