"Great family bacation"
We stayed here for a family vacation with our 3 young kids. Check in was quick and easy - the kids got little welcome bags with a colouring book and crayons. The room was fantastic - on the 23rd floor over looking the CN tower and the dome. My 3 year old immediately found a phone jack without a cover. Not a huge deal though once we noticed it and stopped her. When I logged on to the complimentary wifi a survey about the stay came up and I filled it out mentioning the missing cover. When we came back from our outing the following morning, the cover had been replaced. We also had a middle of the night "accident" that required a change of bedding. The staff were very accommodating in changing it for us. On the first night we ordered room service. The food came and the chicken sandwich was raw. They were very apologetic and offered us a free dessert (we'd already had one included with a meal special so we declined). The food was quite good though. A word of caution if you have kids - the mini fridge was stuffed full of alcohol, pop and juice and there were chocolate bars and chips in another bottom cupboard, easily within reach of little hands. Again, not a big deal but could get expensive really quickly if your kids get into them. Overall it was a great stay. The hotel is located in walking distance of many attractions and is close to union station for subway to other parts of the city.

The main door to the lobby is very difficult to get to initially. The 2 bedroom apt. we rented was very nice and conventially had a small kitchenette with the basic necessities. Parking is not a problem, once you request a parking pass for the parking garage. Location is fantastic!

Toronto Entertainment District Resort & Spa Travel Guide

    When to Visit Roatan

Roatan is generally balmy all year long with high temperatures in the mid to high 80s. However, to avoid the wet season, have the best diving weather, and see the most marine wildlife, visit the area in the spring and early summer. February and March are the best months to enjoy mild weather, very little rain, and ample sun. Other popular times to book hotels in Roatan include the Christmas holiday season and during spring break when people are looking for a warm, lush place to get away from the cold weather farther north.

    Things to Do

Even though it is a fairly small island, Roatan is practically bursting with activities that the entire family can enjoy. Of course, the most popular activities are water sports, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. However, you can explore beautiful tropical forests in central Roatan with off-road vehicles or on a zip line, or you can take a moonlight stroll along the gorgeous white beaches. Coxen Hole, the capital of the island, offers great sightseeing tours, shopping, and local cuisine, and the West Bay area is loaded with beaches and diving opportunities. You can explore natural wonders by taking a diving class or snorkeling through the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. Other fun attractions include the Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum, Carambola Botanical Gardens, and Arch's Iguana and Marine Park in French Harbor.

    Amenities at Roatan Resorts

Roatan resorts offer an amazing array of amenities that will help you feel right at home as soon as you arrive on the island. No matter what your needs are, offers a huge array of hotel and resort options at fantastic prices. From concierge service to complimentary drinks, Roatan, Honduras, all-inclusive resorts have everything you need to fill your time and feel pampered without ever leaving the resort. Many of these resorts also have on-site fitness centers, tennis courts, basketball courts, and other sports facilities to help you stay in shape in between feasting on sumptuous international cuisine at on-site restaurants. If you prefer water sports to lounging under a beach umbrella, check out Roatan dive resorts, which offer on-site scuba diving.

Some Roatan island resorts are for adults only, making them a perfect choice if you are planning a romantic getaway with your significant other or looking for a quiet honeymoon location. Each resort offers at least one pool for freshwater swimming, and many have direct beach access complete with sun umbrellas and lounge chairs. Another amenity that will make it easy to relax is childcare, offered by several resorts for an additional fee.

    The Region Surrounding Roatan

Roatan is a long, narrow island with amazingly diverse geography. While you will first appreciate the miles of beaches along the famous West Bay end of the island, you'll discover that Roatan has beautiful tropical mangrove forests in its interior and stunning volcanic rock along its northern coast. If you decide to step outside your resort to explore, you can easily travel to mainland Honduras on the La Ceiba ferry. There, you can tour the Parque Nacional Pico Bonito or go whitewater rafting down the Rio Cangrejal.

Whether you are planning a family vacation or are looking for a special place to celebrate a relationship milestone, Roatan, Honduras, resorts offer the fabulous amenities you need while the island itself will give you the dose of sun, water, and nature that you crave. Book your flight to Roatan as well as your island resort through to score great deals on your next memorable yet cheap vacation.
