“Inconvenient but quant”
It was nice. I t was a little out of the way from the places of interest. Subways close at midnight so can't be out too late. it has a quirky elevator. It's inconvenient. The stairs were preferred even though we stayed on the fourth floor. Breakfast did not interest us. All starch.
“Convenient and comfortable”
The Clarion was a short walk from a Bloor St subway stop which made it easy to navigate around the city (I recommend the day pass). The room was small with no view, but it was comfortable and clean. Good variety at complimentary breakfast - hard boiled eggs were especially good. Limited, cramped parking for an extra charge but we didn't need to get in/out because we used public transportation for getting around the city. Overall, good value.
“lovely”
I stay here as often as i can. location is great. continental breakfast so so, but over all great value.
“Never go back”
Terrible staff, he tried to give me a twin bedroom even though I reserved a King executive.
“Convenient for subway”
Staff at the Clarion are very pleasant and helpful and did their best to respond to any questions. Breakfast is plentiful and good served in attractive surroundings. Hotel is extremely convenient for the Sherbourne subway which is only one stop away from Yonge/.Bloor.
“Perfect!!”
I stayed with my parents visiting me from Italy during the last Easter weekend, and our stay was perfect. We had a room in the renovated wing if the hotel (that is looks like a old fashion mansion) and it was very comfortable, all new, marvelous bathroom..etc! Breakfast included perfect (no ham or meat, but I really appreciated it). The hotel is a bit far from the "center" (Eaton Center, just to give you a landmark) and we spent 30 minutes walking to get there...but it was nice and we saw lots of thinks! So..yes...go there!
“Warm & clean room. Very comfortable beds and pillows.”
I liked Clarion hotel very much. Breakfast was good. (But eating the same breakf every morning was boring. On the 3-rd morning we went across the road to breakf & soup.) Room was quite, clean & comfortable. (Condition was too loud. Tap was not fixing well. For me it was not big deal.) Our trip was in Febr. We spent there 5 days. Weather were cold. But inside the hotel & in the room were very warm. My child (3years) & I liked fitness room. Metro is closed to hotel. There are bus stops near the hotel. We saw some playgrounds not far from the hotel. Big store with fresh fruits is near. It will be great to have a microwave in each room.
“Great place to relax”
The hotel was perfectly situated for our purposes. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the hotel staff friendly. We will be bac on our next trip to Toronto.
“reminded me of Europe”
My friend and I were very happy with this hotel. It is less than a block from a subway stop, and an easy walk to lots of shopping. It's a short subway ride to an area with lots of ethnic restaurants. We felt perfectly safe. Housed in an old mansion, it might not be to the taste of people not familiar with bed & breakfasts and European family-run hotels. Our room had a modern bathroom and small fridge, but those who prefer more modern and sleek hotels might prefer to go elesewhere. We loved the tiny elevator and the fact that it was an old building converted to hotel room and found it charming and the staff very helpful. Nice breakfast buffet as well. We would definitely stay there again. It was also very reasonable for a convenient location.
“WOULD GO BACK AGAIN”
LIKE STEPPING BACK IN TIME..VICTORIAN MANSION...BEAUTIFUL DECOR ROOM BIG AND COMFORTABLE..HELP CORDIAL
