good hotel convenient to downtown Toronto.

Pros: Friendly staff, helpful. Quiet, dark room -- slept well.
Cons: As above, the fitness centre. It is worth making the fitness centre a bit of a treat for guests, reward them for making time to work out.
Location: Yonge St, Eaton Centre, lots of restaurants within walking distance -- i liked that they had a guide in the room with maps and walking distances.
Stayed for two nights while attending an educational event. Friendly front staff. Good size room -- clean, quiet, nice and dark for sleeping. Bit of a squeeze to close the door to the bathroom as it's quite small. The fitness room was handy, but could use a little more room there, some smaller free weights, more mats/balls for stretching and strength work. Lots of people were using it, so it might be worth making it a little bigger and brighter. The foyer is nice -- lots of amenities like internet, newspapers, info screen.

Tolerable for those with budget in mind

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Fairly convenient location.
Cons: Service could use some work.
Location: Eaton Centre. Plenty of eateries.
The staff inadvertently checked in another guest in the same room after we had already checked in. Were we ever surprised to have a complete stranger enter our room unexpectedly! The manager was apologized verbally, but did not do much beyond that. Somehow, a $5 voucher fell short of what we expected for having our privacy so egregiously violated.

Centrally located.

Pros: Convenient location and pleasant staff.
Cons: Looking a little shabby, could use some renos.
We were in Toronto to check our U of T and Ryerson, so the hotel was ideally located. It was also close to Eaton Centre and not too far from the Air Canada Centre where we attended a Raptors game. Our room was right next to the elevator, so we had to listen to noisy guests coming back to their rooms all night long, then the guests leaving early in the morning. I would probably not stay here again for that reason, unless we could be guaranteed a quiet room.

Thank you for your comments. I am glad that you enjoyed our convenient location. We pride ourselves in being able to provide all of our guests with a restful night sleep, I am sorry that you were inconvenienced by the noise of the elevator. If you are to return, we would gladly be able to accommodate a request for a quiet room. It is feedback like yours that allow us to improve on our customer service.

Nice hotel close to ammenities

I booked my hotel through the Expedia app and accidentally booked the wrong date only realizing it after making the payment. I called the hotel directly but they said they couldn't assist me since I booked it through a third party. I called Expedia and the representative that assisted me was very professional and helpful. He corrected the mistake and was nothing short of fantastic. My overall experience was a really good one and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and loved ones.

Walking distance to many restaurants ,shopping, and points of interest in downtown Toronto. Very friendly and courteous staff. From our first stay onward, this has been our hotel of choice. Great location and great facilities. We would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Toronto for events or entertainment.

Hotel was okay

Posted Apr 7, 2014
The room had a damp, old smell. Very dim lighting. Very out of date furnishings. Black mould in bathroom along the floor/wall. Felt we paid way too much for what we got. Overall "OK" experience.

Watch out that the reservation is non-refundable

Posted Apr 7, 2014
I made a reservation and then my plans changed and I realized that the reservation is non-refundable. Usually you can cancel a reservation 24 hours before the check in date. Not the case for this hotel.

I am sorry that you were not aware that the reservation that you booked was non-refundable 24 hours after booking. We do certainly offer other rates that are bookable through all channels that are refundable up until 6pm the day of arrival.

The Concierge

Posted Apr 7, 2014
The best part of our stay was Terry the concierge. He was a huge help in everything we needed and so very personable. Working in the customer service business I'm very critical over service I receive and Terry is to be commended. I'd recommend your hotel for him alone but most of the staff was also friendly. Thank you Terry for being so wonderful!
