perfect hotel that's close to everything

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: location, friendly staff, price, quality.
Cons: the room could have been cleaner. I did find the bed linens to be very strong with bleach.
Location: Yonge Street. walking distance to all major tourist attractions such as restaurants, book stores, pubs and more
I was visiting Toronto for one week and needed to stay close to the downtown core as I am a comedian who was in the city to perform. I was blown away with how friendly the hotel staff were from the minute I was greeted at the door. Everyone was very nice to deal with by the end of my stay I felt like I knew everyone. The restaurant was amazing and the Starbucks in the lobby a great amenity. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.

Great Location!

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: the location
Cons: ensure all equipment in the gym is working properly, update the hotel rooms, specifically the air conditioner units.
Location: anything you need is on yonge street, so put on your walking shoes and step outside the hotel!
Great location, 1 block from the college metro and there was a lot to walk to up and down yonge street. The gym is not impressive, most of the machines didn't work. The air conditioner in our room made too much noise, we had to keep it off. Overall the rooms are a bit small and outdated, but a great value.

Good hotel with bad noise/partying problems

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Location was great for downtown and easy access to the subway system. Good price.
Cons: Noise problem with some guests but I am unsure how this can be resolved, the hotel seems to be trying to deal with it.
We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on a Saturday night and were asked to sign a declaration stating that we would not smoke or make loud noise, for reasons which became apparent. A group of guests on our floor were noisy and got a bit out of control in the early hours of the morning. I called reception who sent security up and we were later told that people were removed from the hotel. Noise continued through the night including a very loud screaming and swearing domestic dispute in the room next to us. Staff were responsive and the manager was concerned when we discussed the situation with him the next morning but I would not stay here again as there does seem to be a problem with some guests at this hotel.

convenient to training.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Affordable and convenient to training.
Cons: I really needed a bar fridge. For water bottles and milk. Needed more coffee cups. ( would have preferred ceramic to paper.)
Location: Every thing you needed in walking distance.
Our room was clean. The staff was friendly. Lots of small pillows. Would have preferred one bigger pillow.

Good location, but needs some investment in upgrad

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Can't beat walking out the door right into the heart of downtown Toronto. That is if you can get down the elevator -- we had trouble every single day of the eight days we were there. Although repair staff were seen working on the two elevators, they never seemed reliable and it's not a lot of fun getting stuck. The restaurant was closed so we can't comment and the cafe is good -- has all you need.

I am glad that you enjoyed our great location in the heart of downtown Toronto. I have passed your comments on to our Director of Engineering about the elevators. Thank you for your business.

NOT to be recommended

Posted Jan 11, 2015
I stayed for one night for my daughter's sleepover party with her 5 friends. I booked two rooms. When I arrived, one room door was already busted and even the manager's master key wouldn't open. Somehow the staffs fixed the problem but it took 30 minutes. When I took my girls to swimming pool, the change room with shower facility was freezing cold. I told the front desk to warm up the room but all they said was that it was not possible to do so because there was no temperature adjusting mechanism in the change room. The staff even suggested that we should take extra towels to go to our rooms and take a shower there. Very unprofessional. I am not going back there ever again.

I am sorry that your daughters sleepover party did not go as planned. Thank you for the valuable feedback on your stay. I will ensure that the pool area and change rooms are looked into by the Engineering department.

Clean hotel, friendly staff.

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Hotel was clean and staff helpful.
Cons: Should advise people before booking that construction taking place across the street if room is on the Yonge St. side.
Location: Location was just north of College on Yonge Steet. Lots of places to shop and eat, College Park, Eaton Centre. Many restaurants in the area, alon
Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Room was ok with desk and a chair beside the bed.
