Chelsea experiencePosted Apr 15, 2014
Have been staying at the Chelsea for years, however, we found booking through Expedia, the room was not as nice as when booked directly with the hotel. There was no air conditioning available thus we found the room extremely hot during the evening/night time.

Nice, pleasant stay.Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Cork-screw water slide in the Family Fun Zone is terrific. [Just wish it was open more hours.]
The best thing is the Family Fun Zone on the 2nd floor.

Great location in downtown Toronto.Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: I think they are renovating this hotel, and that's a good thing as it needs a lot of updating.
Location: Ripley's Aquarium was excellent and just a $10 taxi ride away
We booked this hotel as we were travelling to Toronto for my son's 13th birthday to visit the Ripley's Aquarium. I chose this hotel as it had a waterslide and whirlpool, which I knew my son would enjoy. The waterslide was closed the entire time we were there. It closes at noon on Sundays!!! REALLY?!? Then the whirlpool broke, so that was a major disappointment for him. My daughter wanted to take a bath and the bathtub plug did not work. The room was small (and they called it a family deluxe room). There wasn't even a fridge. The room was facing a wall, so there was no view at all and the balcony was "under construction" so we couldn't even open the door. The temperature control in the room didn't work, so we were way too hot all night. When we called the desk to see about getting a room with a better view, the girl said it would be on a lower floor and would be another $35. I had already paid $194 for this room, plus parking. All-in-all it was a bad experience that we tried to make the best of so that we didn't ruin my son's birthday celebration. Good thing the Aquarium was so good! Probably won't stay here again.

Very nice hotel, in the heart of the Toronto DownPosted Apr 14, 2014
Location: the hotel is in the heart of Toronto downtown, everything is near you. you just walk to Eaton Center, to every where.
The hotel was so good; it is not my first stay. I like to stay on it every time I visit Toronto. This time was not so pleasant because the balcony was close - the worker was at the windows. And so noisy. I had to leave to another hotel after 2 days

Small sizePosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Location, Fitness center, friendly staffs
Cons: Long staying guest should be provided with more comfortable room. Fix peel off wall paper
I was disappointed when walked into the room. It's very small and the wall paper were peeling off. The room did not make me feel " comfortable at home". It made my 11 day stay seemed like forever. Pro: pool and fitness center are good. Wireless connection is good. Flat screen TV Cons: small size, noises from people in the hallway (especially weekends) and from construction/renovation from the floor above (I was on the 24th flr). No fridge in the room.

Close to Don Valley and Eglinton hubPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: The staff and the location
Location: I have meetings at Eglinton and Yonge so I find the hotel an easy commute. Also the parking rate is much more reasonable than downtown Toronto.
I have stayed here many times. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I have always had a very pleasant experience.

Little roomPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: The lobby was very nice, they brightened up the colour.
Location: The eaton centre is close and there are many restaurants.
The room we had was very small, the batroom was tiny, there were stains around the drain and you could tell the faucet was temporarily fixed. My husband wanted to take a shower but we had to call down and ask how to turn on the water. I dusted the room when I got in because you could see it on the bed frame,so I continued to wipe down the rest of the room. Our view was a concrete wall dirty windows you couldn't see out of. There was construction going on in the hotel I realize thing don't always look so great when improvements are going on, but I feel this room should have been put on temporarily out of order. I don't want to be nasty about it because I will probably be staying there again,it's really close to my doctors office.
