Good place to stay

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Clean, the glass elevators are neat.
Cons: Parking is expensive and should be included in the room charge. Value for what you pay in on-site food could be improved. Burger was small.
Location: If you like expensive food around your hotel, this is the place. The restaurants are pretty much steak places. There's a breakfast place 3 blocks away
In general, my experience was good. Check-in was fast, room service was fast and cleanliness was very good.

Where was the fridge and light bulbs!

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Stay was fine. Bed was lumpy. No fridge in the room as advertised, but they delivered one and changed the broken light bulb. No continental breakfast, the bartender charged us $15/shot. All in all, pretty good place. Liked the pool. No hot tub though.

BED : Very comfortable.

Pros: Nice clean hotel, Easy check-in and out.,
Cons: Room should have a bathtub or it should be noted "somewhere" that the room does NOT have one.
Location: Within the entertainment district.
Room was listed as a "DELUXE" room. Was expecting a bathtub instead room only came with a small shower. Each time the sink was used to wash hands, the hot tap had to be left running on full for a minimum of 7-10 minutes before even a hint of warmth could be noticed. (This alone must be costing the hotel thousands of dollars yearly). This room is well suited for the tired business traveler who is dead tired and just requires a place to lay their head for the night and get up and leave the next morning. This room was definitely NOT the proper room to be rented out to a couple on Valentines Day/weekend. All in all this was a very disappointing weekend stay for our 45th wedding anniversary.

A fire alarm that just wouldn't stop...

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Cons: Staff empathy.
It was unfortunate that we had to cut our stay at the Hilton short. A fire alarm on Sunday night would not stop and kept us from falling asleep...so we had to pack up our bags and the kids and go home. No empathy from the staff and and no offer for a refund. Had we been treated fairly, we would reconsider booking next year. That said, I'm not sure we will. I have had clients stay at the Hilton, but we might have to divert them in the future.

Pros: We had a great view in our room.
Overall it was a disappointing stay for us. The room we were given had some banging noise that started in the middle of the night?!? Not sure if was the heating system of pipes freezing because of the frigid temperatures. When I called down to ask if they has towels at the pool they said yes unfortunately we went down for our swim there were no towels. There were many angry families in cold wet swim suites waiting to get towels themselves. It took about an hour before someone came with any. The fire alarms were going off from 9:30pm until 12am because of a flood downstairs. This was out of their control BUT because of this they gave out free breakfast vouchers to any guest who complained so therefor when we went down to have our breakfast it was a two hour wait to eat. It was too bad because I have stayed at this hotel in the past with no problems but it just seemed to be run down and not necessarily the nice hotel it once was.

Dated hotel...

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Good hotel if you are there on business and just looking for a room for the night, but if you are there for a function or for some personal reasons, you may want to consider one of the more recent hotels in Toronto. The rooms are dated, with carpeting that certainly had better days and a ventilation system that is no so adequate in the 2015s.

Birthday weekend overnight stay

Posted Feb 13, 2015
The valet from the time I got out of the car, to the counter when I checked in, the bellhop to deliver my luggages to my room, we're all friendly, accommodating and helpful. They were knowledgeable when asked about the area and the bellhop even gave us a little history of the buildings that we were facing from our room view. The view was excellent, room was comfortable, clean and the floor location was perfect. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool even when it was snowing outside. Our stay was minutes from the club & parking (valet/self park) was very convenient & reasonably priced. A great stay!

I'd stay again.

The hotel was in a good location, very clean and the staff was amazing. They were very helpful and quick to find an answer if they didn't know the answer to a question. The only downfall is that the restaurants were not child friendly.
