Location was fantastic

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The location, cleanliness and staff
Cons: The Television in our room could not get a strong enough signal for the duration of our visit to maintain a continuous picture and kept freezing
Location: Everything to do within walking distance!
It was overall a very good experience, we would return.

A night in Toronto

Posted Oct 20, 2014
I had an amazing time in Toronto and the hotel was a great way to start and end the night. They have a knowledgeable bar staff that got the night started and the delightful staff that manned the doors and the desk throughout the night as well as on check in and check out were fantastic. The room was great, the glass shower was a great capstone to the entire room. I would definitely stay their again.

Oasis of calm in Central Toronto

Posted Sep 28, 2014
We arrived with an hour to go before an Ice Hockey match - check-in was quick efficient and friendly so we were seated in plenty of time. Front-of-house staff were always friendly, smiling and helpful, even extending our checkout time as they were quiet, ordering a taxi & providing water for our journey. I liked the extra security with lifts that needed a keycard to reach the bedrooms, and I liked the array of (highly polished) apples next to the lift. This illustrates the attention to detail in this hotel: well-stocked minibar with non-chill items in a drawer not the fridge; a safe large enough for a laptop; blackout and white blinds plus curtains; lights & pull-down shelves for reading in bed; lots of sockets; dropdown ironing board & iron; wide range of light settings; recycling box in room, and more. Our room was huge with 2 ample double beds plus sofa for a guest, a walk-in area for dressing/clothes storage and the biggest en suite bathroom I've ever seen!! My daughter said it was the best shower she's ever had, but I felt a bit confused and was unable to get quite the right temperature. Basins good & big, but we would have liked plugs to enable shaving & handwashing clothes (maybe we were confused here too!). Breakfast was good but didn't match up to the flair in the rest of the hotel. We didn't eat dinner here, but the bar was well stocked and welcoming for singles or groups alike. If I go back to Toronto I will stay here and I absolutely recommend it.

Great location.

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The informality of the hotel was great. But if you needed help the staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to do with the hotel but the amount of construction work going on all around the downton area is an issue but that won't last forever.
Location: So close to the Sports stadia and an easy stroll to some fine and reasonably priced restaurants and theatres on King Street West.
Toronto surprised me by its size. It isn't London but very reminiscent of Glasgow and Manchester in the UK. Join up those two cities, multiply by two and you have got Toronto! A pleasant stroll to the Distillery District and St Lawrence Market, well worth a visit on a Saturday morning through the lunch period. The Harbour area is also just a couple of minutes away.

Pillows are too soft to give good neck support.

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Spacious room & good location.
Cons: Pillows can be a firmer for better neck support.
Location: CN Tower. Roger Center.
The hotel is conveniently located & within walking distance to CN tower & Roger Center. Spacious room. However, was unable to get a good rest as the pillows are way too soft even after stacking 2 on top of each other. Did not give good neck support.

Best Hotel Experience Ever!

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: The helpful staff!
Cons: Not much room for improvement. Dare I say it was perfect?
Location: The location was great! We were able to walk to most of our destinations, but anything further they called us a car.
This was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. I was in town for the Caribana Festival, as well as the OVO Music festival. It was my first time to Toronto so I was looking for the time of my life. I was able to have that with the help of the hotel staff (specifically Simon). They were all helpful though in telling me what activities were happening, where to go, and made sure I knew exactly how to get to the places I was going. It was an amazing experience! The breakfast was great, especially the fresh squeezed juices! Also, the rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. This hotel offers everything to make you very comfortable and at home. It actually became difficult to leave the room and see Toronto because it was that comfortable. Thank you to the staff for making my trip to Toronto one that I would never forget!

Lovely and Modern St Germain

Posted Sep 2, 2014
We enjoyed this modern, very comfortable hotel. The location is where the action is and the two days we were there, we saw the crowds of Fan Expo and baseball fans below our window. The staff was wonderful. The concierge helped us with restaurant reservation and tourist advice. This not a pretentious hotel which is important to us. The breakfast is included and you serve yourself in a nice dining room, with plenty of staff.

Beautiful hotel right in downtown Toronto

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Hotel atmosphere was very modern. The staff were nice and helpful. We were upgraded to a double suite on arrival which was very cool! Great hotel with beautiful amenities right in maple leaf square. Construction and parking were rough but other than that the location was perfect.
