“everything is good”
good good
“Good location, simple service”
Hotel is very centrally located - right behind the CN Towers and Rogers stadium and beside the Union Station. Drove there and had a hard time identifying the hotel with its lack of street signage. Found the valet service a little weird as you stop by the side (much like a cab) along Front street which was very busy. The check in counter was even worse without any signs and ended up at the wrong counter the first time round. The room was rather simple and lack an expectation of a luxury touch. Overall I would have compared the hotel to any other common ones like Best Western or Holiday Inn and definately not worth the premium price tag.
“Beautiful City & Hotel”
When we go back to Toronto this will always be the hotel we will stay at. The hotel was beautiful, the city very clean and over Huge but a beautiful City.
“amazing time in an amazing hotel”
Check in was quick and easy, room was easy to locate and well kept, overall appearance and feeling of hotel was welcoming, staff were kind and helpful, food in the lounge was outstanding and I cant imagine my stay could have gone any smoother.
“The Hotel Was Great”
It was my first time in Toronto and I wasn't exactly impressed with the city. I was there with my fiance who was an artist appearing at the FAN EXPO 2010. The hotel was wonderful, I cannot say a bad word about it. They actually provided transportation to the airport in one of their Town Cars so we didn't have to take a taxi and the price was a bit cheaper than a taxi. They also have a lovely indoor pool and spa facility. I would definitely stay there again if I had to return to Toronto
“Intercontinental Hotel Toronto (Metro Convention Center)”
WE LOVED THE INTERCONTINENTAL. IM DEFINITELY GOING BACK IF I CAN JUST GET THE RATE!! THE G20 OBAMA HOTEL WAS AWESOME! THE STAFF IS SO EFFIN POLITE!! LOVED IT!
“I Love Toronto and this hotel!”
I was well-cared for at this hotel. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and through room service. This is my idea of a luxury hotel. Everyone I dealt with in a service capacity was extremely pleasant and made my trip well worth it. Thank you, all!
“nickel & dime disguised as good PR”
I booked and paid-in-full months in advance. When I arrived at the hotel at 5:45 p.m. on a Sunday, I was informed my room wasn't ready because they were full the night before and behind in cleaning. Yet, others in line were given room keys. They offered to have me wait in their restaurant and gave me a drink voucher: a nicely designed marketing piece on a tear-off pad that indicates they give out vouchers often. I chose to have dinner across the street. 6 elevators, but you still had at least a 5 minute wait at times. Staff was reasonably friendly and the room was nice. As someone trained in public relations and marketing, the experience felt more like a bait and switch and an attempt to milk money from me, than providing a quality stay. Save the money on the drink vouchers and hire more housekeeping staff. After a 6 hour drive, I wanted my room.
“Some problems, but overall good.”
We got bumped on our first night due to overbooking and we were sent to another hotel (Marriott). Then there were the elevators. There were 5 elevators but only 2-3 worked at any given time. There was a very busy convention in the attached convention center, so as a result, you were sometimes 20-25 people deep waiting on an elevator. In spite of this, we did enjoy our stay. The hotel itself was beautiful and the restaurant was wonderful. We were given a complementary dinner due to the overbook, and the food was excellent! We were also given access to the club level with complementary breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee, snacks and free internet access. We would definitely stay there again!
“Good service but needs infraestructure improvements”
Good service, staff very nice, hotel needs maintenance. We were bothered with noise of works between 1:00 am and 3:00 am. I had to phone reception complaining about the noise. Not admissible in a hotel were you are suposse to rest.
