Great family bacation

Posted Apr 19, 2015
We stayed here for a family vacation with our 3 young kids. Check in was quick and easy - the kids got little welcome bags with a colouring book and crayons. The room was fantastic - on the 23rd floor over looking the CN tower and the dome. My 3 year old immediately found a phone jack without a cover. Not a huge deal though once we noticed it and stopped her. When I logged on to the complimentary wifi a survey about the stay came up and I filled it out mentioning the missing cover. When we came back from our outing the following morning, the cover had been replaced. We also had a middle of the night "accident" that required a change of bedding. The staff were very accommodating in changing it for us. On the first night we ordered room service. The food came and the chicken sandwich was raw. They were very apologetic and offered us a free dessert (we'd already had one included with a meal special so we declined). The food was quite good though. A word of caution if you have kids - the mini fridge was stuffed full of alcohol, pop and juice and there were chocolate bars and chips in another bottom cupboard, easily within reach of little hands. Again, not a big deal but could get expensive really quickly if your kids get into them. Overall it was a great stay. The hotel is located in walking distance of many attractions and is close to union station for subway to other parts of the city.

Pros: Bien situé et hotel tranquille et propre
Cons: Prix des déjeuners plus abordable car assez dispendieux pour une famille.
Location: Aquarium Tour du CN Magasinage
Hotel agréable, lit confortable et belle chambre propre

Great hotel but, not on the trendy part of town

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: It's everything you would expect from an Intercontinental, if I wanted to be picky, it ain't the prettiest building but hey?
Cons: The bar is a little pricey as is the breakfast (however the breakfast buffet was quite fantastic).
Location: Families will love the location, I stayed over the March school break and the place caters for children very well. Super hotel.
I have stayed in this downtown hotel before and was very pleased with my second visit. Downtown Toronto is changing but is not as cool as Bloor Yorkville. Perfect for me as my business colleagues are nearby but, if you are a couple here on holiday, go for Yorkville. On the other hand, if you are a family and you want to be close to the CN Tower and the Aquarium this hotel s walking distance to both.

Intercontinental Toronto.

Pros: Good location for downtown Toronto.
Hotel was fine although we were placed on a floor where a movie was being shot. This turned out not to be a problem as they were finishing up. For a 4 star hotel I thought it would have robes for clients, but there were none. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Hotel & Staff

My day started out really well, my daughters had made me breakfast in bed before we left the house. Once arriving at the Intercontinental Toronto my day went from really good to great because of Eugene who checked us in at the front desk. Eugene was very professional, helpful and friendly. The hotels' location was central to all the great activities & restaurants we had planned on visiting. Delicious is how I would describe the breakfast brunch served at the hotel in the Azure Restauraunt. Lot's of fresh fruit & berries along with everything else you may want for breakfast. Rooms were very clean. I plan on staying at the Intercontinental Hotel again.

Great service; smaller room size with a family of 5 but they were able to upgrade us to a room with a daybed for the 3rd child (fire regulations prevent use of a cot in a room with two beds).
