“Great Value & Location”
Fabulous location and attractive building... our room was spacious, clean and quite comfy. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. We used the garage and had two full days of parking for $18.00 -- this was very convenient. Did not eat at the restaurant but had lunch across the street at Scotland Yard and returned there later after a delicious dinner at Biff's (two blocks from hotel) for drinks on the patio.
“Excellent Quality”
Great rates and close to financial district. Two blocks from the Hockey Hall of Fame. I've stayed here multiple times doing business in Toronto.
“Good location”
Good location, helpful staff Breakfast buffet reasonable because kids under 16 eat free You pay for parking but it is convenient, rasonable, and can come and go without additional cost
“Nice”
The hotel is in a nice part of town, within walking to many restaurants and attractions, as well as rapid transit. The room was clean and comfortable. I booked a non-smoking room, but we ended up with a smoking room. I could have changed to another room, but it didn't bother me enough to make it worth the effort. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, especially the selection of bread and pastries. I would stay there again.
“Would use again”
Only problem is the carpet was a little dirty.
“Very Satisfied”
I had read other reviews that were not positive about this hotel, so was somewhat worried when, upon arrival, they had assigned a room with king rather than queen beds. (My sister was traveling with me and had specified wanting two beds.) However, the change was made immediately and without argument. Room was clean, hotel staff was always helpful, and our location was quiet. Restaurant was also very good. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until about 11:35 p.m. Hotel advertises that restaurant is open until midnight, but we figured they might not actually still be serving dinner. After we deposited our luggage in our room and came back downstairs, probably 11:45, we were pleasantly surprised that we were offered a bar menu and a full dinner menu. We were served quickly and not kicked out at the stroke of 12. For two weary travelers, that was a life saver. Only drawback was the room bar/refrigerator. We had read that even opening the door and lifting a product would result in a charge. When we checked out, the clerk indicated that we had removed one beverage and were being charged for it. We told him that we didn't even open the door after reading about it. Again, there was no argument and the charge was removed.
“Just as it appears in the Pictures”
I was pleased with every aspect of the hotel. The hotel is just as it appears in the pictures. I ate several times in the restaurant and highly recommend it. There is a small store next door with necessities and snack items. Only a few blocks from Union Station.
“Great location - the best bed in Toronto”
Can't fault this hotel - very large room, two huge and wonderfully comfortable double beds - great location close to the railway station, CN Tower, Eaton Centre etc. Some very good restaurants opposite, including the Spaghetti House, which was great value. Helpful front desk and Concierge. Swimming pool on the small side, but ok for a dip. Free internet was helpful.
“Great hotel in a great location”
We were very impressed with the room we had and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location of the hotel was great for us, as it was at the bottom and in the middle of downtown, which allowed us to walk to many of the local sights. The pool was a bit on the small side, however it was pleasant enough, although it seemed a bit over chlorinated.
