“Disappointment”

Staff were great and it's above subway line but that's it for good words The hotel is old therefore not clean, old carpets, not recommended for dust allergy The hotel do not support shuttel to and from the airport / bus terminal and that's cost too much.

“Very good if you have business in downtown”

The TTC subway is just below the hotel. That makes it the most convenient location from commuting point of view. The rooms need little renovation though. The carpets are soiled. The wall paper from one corner peeled off when we were staying.

“Clean, modern hotel in North York neighborhood”

I stayed here recently with two kids. The manager, whom I had emailed beforehand, very kindly made sure that we would have a room with a queen bed as well as a trundle bed, which comfortably accommodated all of us. It was a big relief, after a long drive to Toronto, to have such a clean and comfortable room. There were several decent restaurants nearby, and the hotel's lobby was lively (but not noisy), with pleasant seating arrangements and a couple of computers for public use.

“Nice Toronto hotel”

The hotel is located near Toronto's City Center. A subway station is beneath the hotel. A public library is in the same building. Many restaurants are within walking distance. A cinema is across the street. The Bay Department store is not too far. Underground parking is next door but quite expensive. Free WiFi but there is a charge for local telephone calls. The room is comfortable and the rate is reasonable. I will definitely stay there again next time I visit Toronto.

Area recommendations
Port Perry is a small town north of Toronto. It has a beautiful lake and an Indian casino. But no children is allowed on the casino ground even the parking lot. CT Tower has a new outside walkway on the restaurant floor. Niagara Falls is a must for someone has never been there.
Other
Departure from Toronto Pearson International Airport is not an easy task even for me who have been through the procedure many times. It took me over an hour to return my rental car, to check-in, to go through United States Immigration and Custom, and to have security screening. Their signs are not very clear and helpers are not easily available.

“A nice place to stay in Toronto”

Novotel North York is a bit of a hike from downtown, but it's fairly fast by subway. The hotel feels "Swiss" in that it's modern, well run, and sparklingly clean. It's fine as long as that's what you're looking for; it is NOT a place for "old world charm." It was quiet, and very comfortable. Room amenities included a laptop-sized safe, mini fridge, and there was a nice large flat screen TV on the wall. Free wifi in the room, and two computers in the lobby. The room was neat, furnishings were modern and in good shape. The room looked out onto a rooftop, not much of a view. The indoor pool was clean and a comfortable temperature and well stocked with towels. There are a number of restaurants and a couple shopping malls in the area, the Loblaws supermarket across the street is a nice option for meals if you don't feel like a restaurant. They have many prepared foods, hot, cold, sushi, salads and such.

“well worth it”

I was happy with the Novotel. The bathroom could use some updating but was very clean. I felt the charge for parking was excssive at $17.00 per night but it was very convenient. The pool was small but very clean. The workout room was small but had everything we needed. It was also very clean.Traveling with small children made the rooms on the smaller side, There were several taxes added on to room service that were not explained at checkout.I'm glad we only paid 1/2 of the going rate. However, overall I would go back to this Hotel.
