Great HotelPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Spacious room. Clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous.
Cons: The drain plug for my bath tub did not work properly. I in fact, cut myself trying to work it. So, perhaps that could replaced or looked in to.
Location: Eaton Cntr was close by & walking distance to Yonge-Dundas Square. Very close to Union Go Station. Very convenient Shopper's Drug Mart across the st.
Had a wonderful stay at One King West Hotel. I would recommend it to everyone. The outside was under renovation so it was not very appealing and almost missed the entrance. But inside was amazing. The rooms were spacious and felt quite at home.

Warm & Friendly place to stay downtownPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: The location, the studio rooms (with kitchen functionality) and the staff make this a "go to" hotel.
Location: Walking distance to downtown venues either by the PATH or street level. Numerous restaurants to choose from.
Very courteous and professional staff. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful in providing advice and accommodating needs. Cleaning staff were always happy and showcased a sense of pride in their work; they make you feel as though you are welcome in their home. This hotel is very convenient when arriving in Toronto from the train station.

Right downtown with access to the best of TorontoPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: The location was perfect. Its central location made it easy to access everything downtown, much of it by foot.
Cons: The hotel room could have used a fresh coat of paint on the bathroom door.
Location: Shopping on Yonge or in the Eaton Centre, catching a game at the Air Canada Centre or Skydome.
I ended up checking in a day late due to delayed flights but when I did check it, it was quick and painless. The staff here are friendly and provide you with everything you would expect from a 4-star hotel in the city. The hotel bar is lovely as well as the views if your room is high enough up. The kitchenette was perfect and much better than most hotels I've been to though the coffee provided isn't too good. Utensils are provided as well as dishes, a dishwasher and a stove along with pots and pans. Room size was spacious and on-par with most city junior suites. The historical first 12 floors are quite interesting to explore!

Excellent Customer ServicePosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Nothing that I can think of. We did not use the food service, so cannot comment on that.
Location: Access to excellent restaurants, shopping, St Lawrence Market, Roy Thompson Hall, Metro Convention Centre, hockey and baseball.
We were booked into a room in the old section of the hotel. when we got there the section was under construction and we would have no natural light. The check-in staff were able to place us in another room (at no extra charge) which was very well appointed and very comfortable. We have stayed at King West many times, and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are clean, and tastefully decorated, the beds are always comfortable and dressed in the best linen. The bathrooms are always spotless and the staff polite and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent for access to concert halls and theatres; and the subway .

Location, location, location!Posted Apr 15, 2015
I have stayed at One King West several times as the location and in room amenities are so good. With direct access to the underground Path system and the entrance to the subway right at the door (literally) you can shop, dine and get from A to B without encountering the elements. The washer/drier, hob and dishwasher provide home from home comforts. Paying a little extra for a superior suite is worth it as a few rooms do look directly on to a brick wall making them dark and dingy. Our room was spacious and bed linens spotless. I did notice our bath was not so clean when we arrived but as I didn't intend to use it I didn't make a fuss. It didn't get any cleaner during our week long stay either. The hotel is currently under going some renovations but this did not impact our stay at all.

Front desk did not have my name spelled correctly so I was told I did not have a room. The room was nice but the pool, spa etc were awful. Two lousy tasting draft beer at the lobby bar were $ 20.00 with a bartender that seemed to be annoyed that we interrupted his base ball game on TV.
