Great Location for a Fun Weekend in the City!

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Staff, rooms, location
Cons: Perhaps free wifi
Stayed here with my parents for a bit of a long weekend getaway. We had two Tower Suites and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was a very busy hotel due to various festivals in the city as well as the long weekend but it didn't feel overwhelming in the slightest. Excellent location to get around Toronto. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bedding was soft and high quality. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Nice downtown hotel

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: The room itself. Very nice!
Cons: The housekeeping service. They do a good job when they show up, but they are usually unresponsive.
Location: Perfect, central location in the financial district.
This hotel is very nice aesthetically, and quite clean. It is well-located and has decent amenities such as a (small) gym with a sauna, and some rooms are suites with a fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, and microwave. It's a comfortable place to stay if you're in town for, say, a week. However, it can be very difficult to get the housekeeping staff to come and clean your room, and the wi-if is up and down. I'd suggest this hotel if you're looking for something with decent amenities and don't have high expectations around service. But if you're the type of person who gets upset about bad service, then definitely avoid this hotel.

Great Location

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms were very comfortable and quiet.
Cons: The staff. At reception there was a darker girl who was lovely & extremely helpful, the valet guys all had a good sense of humour. Others were snobs.
Location: We walked everywhere, down to the waterfront, Eaton Centre, baseball.
The hotel is in a great location, although we initially drove past it due to the renovations on the outside.

Nice hotel and great location

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Our stay was good. The hotel was clean, in a great location and was a good value considering it is a 4 star hotel in downtown Toronto. The only issue we ran into was upon arrival (around 4:30 pm) our room was not ready. We were told we would need to wait another 30-45 mins. When we told the clerk we had a 5:30 reservation and needed our room asap we were offered an upgraded room free of charge. Although this was an acceptable solution I was still disappointed that our check-in process took over 30 mins. We were already running late and this was a bit of an inconvenience. However, I should note we stayed at the hotel in the middle of the pan am games and it was obvious the hotel was extremely busy. The rest of our stay was great and we were happy with the room we received. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Great position, friendly, amenities

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Staff, car park, good position
Location: Rogers centre accessibility, shopping, restaurants
We were in Toronto for one night on a driving holiday through eastern Canada. This hotel was in a great position close to good shopping, restaurants and the Rogers Centre (we had tickets to the baseball). Staff were very friendly, parking was valet style for about $40 with in/out privileges, room was comfortable and there were facilities downstairs such as bar amd eats. It was about 20-30min walk to Rogers Centre which was great for our baseball game.

A very good hotel with a very good staff

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: The location is very good and the desk staff, parking valet and bellmen were great. The room was very quiet and had great views.
Cons: Housekeeping could be improved and, please, get rid of the cheap towels.
Location: It's Toronto! There are a million things to see and do. St. James Cathedral is nearby. The Ontario Art Gallery is wonderful.
Toronto is a wonderful city for walking and One King West's location encourages exploring the city on foot. The desk staff are friendly and helpful. They provided good directions, and a map, to help find the destiations I wanted. Staff do not set exchange rates: Currently the rate is $.77 US to $1.00 Canadian but the hotel's rate was 1:1. Use the ATM in the lobby. The room, in the tower, had wonderful views. It was very quiet and, with the exception of some traffic noise from the street 31 stories down, no outside noise intruded into the room. The parking valet and bellmen were excellent. The housecleaning staff was good. The top of the in-room refrigerator was filthy and the grate over the exhaust fan in the bathroom was covered in dust. The towels were skimpy and thin. The hotel charges for Wi-Fi. Parking is expensive. Food in the Bistro was unexceptional, unlike the service which was very good. The Bistro was so dark that patrons seated at the table next to mine needed flashlights to read their menus. All-in-all, One King West is a nice, but over-priced, hotel. It's well located.

Good business hotel close to food and enterainment

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Central location for business. Comfortable quiet rooms with desk for working space. Basic coffee maker and fridge for snacks and beverages. Hotel is close to a variety of eating establishments from casual patios to better restaurants. Limited food and bar, but more than adequate. Staff polite and helpful. Only negative, limited hotel entrance for drop off or pickup. All in all have stayed a few times and will return when I have to be in Toronto on business for 3 or 4 days. Recent summer visit (July 2015).
