“Best Hotel In Toronto !”
4 Star, elegant, modern, attractive, close to all the nearby locations in downtown Toronto such as the Skydome, Air Canada Centre,Union Station, The CN Tower, the nightclub/entertainment district, etc. Valet parking was great ( although for an additional fee ). Hotel service was 2nd to none, every inch of the hotel was clean. Nice swimming pool, heated jacuzzi and exercise room. Hotel has all the amenities you could want - gift shops, clothing stores, winery shop, conveienece shop , etc.
“Efficient Service”
The staff was polite and extremely efficient. The main part of the room was clean, however, the bathroom tiles could have used a good scrubbing, and the water was slow to leave the tub, after a shower. The TV would occasionally lose picture, prompting us to get out of bed to giggle the cable connection on the back of the TV to get the picture again. Annoying. I would still recommend the hotel to others, because of the staff.
“Just for the weekend”
I went to toronto for the weekend and stayed at the fairmont, it was the best rate I could find for that time period which was suprising, Beautiful on the inside and out, staff was great with accommadating an early checkin and late check out times for travel. Excellent Location right across the street from union station which you can get to throgh an underground pathway or jump across the street where you can hop on the subway. close to prime shopping areas and a block or 2 away from the cn tower. when I go back to toronto i will definatly try to stay at the royal york again.
“Spoil Yourself!”
As part of a business/leisure visit to Toronto I chose to stay at the Fairmont Royal York for a few reasons. 1. Recommendation from a local. 2.Other reviews on expedia. 3.The glamour and history of the hotel. and finally number 4. Expedia had an offer on! Serously though we booked a great deal on expedia and we got a Fairmont Gold room which is like a hotel within a hotel, it's own reception for concierge and check-in/check-out plus the Gold private lounge which allows to have breakfast, snacks and drinks, the alcohol though is chargable through an honesty slip, soft drink and water are free, which is great for your room, the breakfast is a buffet style with 1920's glamour with proper breakfast tables all set out for you with china tea cups too! The service was fabulous except for the nightly turn down which didn't exist but eventually got it on my last night! Rooms are really lovely, we got a lake view, such a comfy bed, small bathroom but everything remembered, coffee maker in the room, trouser press and goodies basket but you are charged for that similar to the mini bar. We were accidently charged for something we never had but they quickly removed it no problem, if you stay in the Fairmont Gold part you also get a car parking discount so don't forget to ask about this before your departure because the car park is very pricey! The hotel is steeped in history and is a beautiful building in a great location to explore this fabulous city, would definately stay there again!
“Great Stay”
Be shure you get a seaside room and it will be just a great stay in this extremly beautiful hotel. nicest hotel we did see in Toronto. Very close to Convention Center
“A nice place to stay and a nice staff to deal with.”
This hotel has an old style charm about it. Older style interior and exterior, but the accomidates were up to date and more than adequate for my stay. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. It location next to union station and above parts of Toronto's PATH made my selection the right one for my short business trip to Toronto.
“Hotrel with everthing that you need”
This is well situated within walking distance of the harbour and the CN Tower. The main shops theatres and restaurants are all within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is like a village in itself with shops restaurants and a pool. The valet parking is best as your car is delivered to the door and is less expensive than reparking the car which costs 24 dollars each time.
“Great Hotel! We will return!”
The Fairmont Royal York is pure class. The service was excellent all around. Use the Concierge if you're going anywhere or doing anything. Great tips and know's directions to everywhere. We had a deluxe room with 2 doubles and a couch, chairs and desk, perfect for an extended stay to just crash in the room. Needed a bigger TV though. Hotel bars were great, but way over priced. Hit the LCBO for liquor or wine under Union Station across the street. Pool and fitness center were great. We are 30 years old, very picky and have no complaints about our stay.
“One of Canada's Finest properties!”
The Royal York is a tradition in Toronto. It is a "grand railroad" hotel that has been restored to wonderful condition. You feel like you have stepped back to the time when everyone who traveled by rail stayed in the Royal York when they came to Toronto. We missed staying in the hotel two years ago and decided to plan a return trip to the city so that we could experience the hotel.
“Looking forward to returning soon”
The hotel was fantastic, centrally located walking distance to Eaton Centre shopping. CN Tower, Harbourfront and location for picking up boat for Centre Island. Everything was fantastic about the hotel, service, staff and rooms. Did not have breakfast on site went to a place called Richtree near the Hummingbird Centre, the food was great and the choice was amazing.
