Very pleasant hotel staff!Posted Jul 22, 2014
Upon arriving we were greeted we by a pleasantly eager valet attendant. Upon entry the hotel was beautifully well kept, the front desk attendant was just as helpful and kind. We were upgraded to a suite (which unfortunately was incredibly out dated... carpets and drapery were quite dingy looking). Room service was expensive for the portions. My Greek yogurt arrived as if it had never seen the inside of a fridge, and they forgot the milk for the coffee. After calling front desk another pot of coffee aLondon with more cream, milk and sugar along with a COLD bowl of yogurt were delivered promptly. I would definitely stay here again... just leave out the room service.

Great Place to Stay in TorontoPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The location in downtown Toronto and it was only a few blocks from the lake.
Cons: I was not able to find free parking, but would expect that in any city.
Location: Restaurants, museums, the lake are all within walking distance. A trolly or taxi can take you further if necessary.
We arrived by car and the hotel valet immediately informed us of the price to park the car ($40). Once you unload, you can drive around the corner and park in a underground lot at very reasonable rates, plus the lot has security. I would not suggest using the valet. The hotel was very easy to check in, finding the room was a little confusing due to going around corners several times. Everything in the room worked, no issues. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding and I can recommend using the available facilities. There are other places nearby to eat, you don't have to eat at the hotel. Checkout was quick..... Overall, the next time I go to Toronto, I will be using this hotel again.

Location, elegance, amazing!Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Room size...bed linens...lobby...staff...everything!!
Cons: Just keep doing what you are doing so very well.
Location: Great pubs and restaurants..theater and shopping...easy safe walk into the center of all the action.
Have over nighted in several downtown Toronto hotels in the past several years on visits home BUT...the ambience, caring staff, and wonderful location made our stay at The King Edward so enjoyable and memorable. We will be back...DO book a stay, you won't be disappointed.

Convenient walk to distillery district.Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Staff and location.
Cons: Valet parking for two days after taxes was $101, and we never used the service. This I think was a bit steep.
Location: Distillery district a 20-minute walk. Close to Younge. Easy walk to Hockey Hall of Fame.
We stayed at the Omni for two nights and it was an easy walk to the distillery district, which is why we selected it. There were many bars and restaurants within walking distance (on Wellington and Front). Easy to catch a bus. The staff was friendly and the bar off of the lobby was a fun place to relax after a long day. Our room was comfortable and clean, but nothing over the top.

Convenient locationPosted Jul 10, 2014
A beautiful hotel in the heart of Toronto. Clean rooms and nice breakfast at the Victoria Restaurant. Was surprised by the unannounced tuck pointing project happening outside our window, but thankfully the hotel comped us some charges when we called to complain.

Old World CharmPosted Jul 9, 2014
What a visually stunning and opulent hotel. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Unfortunately, the heavy drapes, carpeting and extreme air conditioning did not sit well with us. We both coughed all night...an unusual reaction for us seasoned travellers, so there is something triggering our allergic reactions. Unfortunately, we will not return.

King Eddy - still a classic !Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: As always - positive & helpful attitude by all staff. Central Location - easy walking No nearby construction (ala Front Street)
Cons: room's carpet was old tired, some stained upholstery no bar fridge
Location: 15 minute walk to Skydome, Aquarium, St. Lawrence market & Union Stn. Wide variety of restaurants nearby.
Father-Son weekend in the big city. My 9 yr old's 1st time staying in a grand old hotel. Made a point of sitting in the grande olde lobby, connecting with the always-friendly staff. Easy walk to everywhere we wanted to visit.

Close to all the great sights downtown.Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: This history and staff.
Cons: They should have smoking rooms for smokers.
Location: Front Street, st Lawrence market. Everything that is great in Toronto is in walking distance.
Excellent Hotel ! Staying there was great. Just wish they have better set up for smokers. Yes, smoking is bad but I until you quit ,going down ten floor to the street is not conventional. It completely an amazing hotel .

Very nice hotel in the heart of downtown.Posted Jul 1, 2014
Location: Within easy walking distance to many of Toronto's major attractions.
Everything was great except for the price of parking. We were shocked to pay $45.00 per night for that.
