“Lovely hotel, but isolated without a car”

I was staying at the hotel, because my friends' daughter was getting married there. The celebrations took place over 3 days. The wedding was wonderful and the staff were just great. Because I had no car, I felt a little caged in, especially as I did not know many of the people attending. I used the workout room, but the equipment is quite limited. Each time I visited, there were 3-4 people, so I am sure other people might like more varied equipment. There were two small hitches. For my last morning, I requested a wake up call at 8.30 a.m. At 8.45 a.m., house keeping wanted to make up the room! Far too early for someone leaving by midday. The second glitch was that the electronic key was canceled promptly at 12.00, but I returned a little late from the post wedding bruncheon. A service manager helped me out, and a staff member came upstairs to open the door for me. Very nice staff!

If was coming as a tourist, I would want to be in a downtown hotel.

“Great Stay in Toronto!!!”

Great hotel and great location for party goers for Caribana. Really close to downtown and great shops and restaurants in the area. Parking was a bit expensive and the balcony is not accessible as the door only opens about 2 in, but nonetheless, great value for your $$$. Will be going back next year!!

“Avoid this Westin”

We booked this hotel because we're familiar with the Westin name, but this place is nothing like a typical Westin. The shower was so tiny, it was like showering on a cruise ship. Towels were old, nasty, and stained. The pool was so dirty that our friends wouldn't let their kids swim in it. Magnetic room keys never worked more than once, we had to get re-keyed every time we came back to the hotel. Overall, this is NOT the Westin that you may be accustomed to from other cities, avoid this one if at all possible.

“Enjoyed our stay!”

The Westin was a beautiful hotel! The staff along with the concierge were accomodating and wonderful. Nice size room and clean. Very pleased with everything about our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Area recommendations

Ate dinner at the CN tower and the price is worth it for the view! Also, took a private tour to Niagara Falls through the hotel. Would give the tour about a 3 out of 5, but NF is a must to see!

“Bad meaning Bad”

This hotel was not good at all. If you are expecting an upscale Westin hotel then you are not going to like this place. Their rooms are outdated and the A/C doesn't work 90% of the time. 2 Elevators broke while we were there sot he wait times where very long. The cleaning people start at 6:00am and they have no problem knocking when your DND is on the door or vacuuming the hallway right next to your door. The staff is very rude and barely speaks any English. Everything is the guests fault not the hotels. I won't go back ever.

Dowtown Toronto is much better.

“Exceptional”

The suites were nicer than many i have seen, the room accomadations, cleanliness, towels, sheets, bedding were top quality, very clean and very high quality. The sheets and room smelled great, very clean and refreshing. I have never been in a Hotel that I could say smelled GREAT! The staff was very courteous, friendly, the food was great!
