it was just as I expected in the hotel this old

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: location, it had a microwave, and small fridge, clean pool area and a decent restaurant for dinner
Cons: a working ATM machine, plain white milk would be nice, since I drink tea not coffee.
Location: downsview arena, Sheridan mall, coffee shop right next door
I arrived at about 6pm and was warmly greeted by the front desk staff. who had trouble finding my reservation form, but the registering went well. I was given the room key at 6:10pm. I went upstairs and opened the door to find that the beds weren't made and a bag of garbage was on the floor. I went back down to the front desk and I informed them that the room was dirty (ie., beds not made and garbage on the floor). I would have expected this at 4pm but not at 6pm. I was given a new room (220) and went up to find a very clean delightful room overlooking the courtyard. Perfect, because it was quieter that the other one would have been. A noisy tour group came in and went to their rooms on Friday night. I think staff was asking them to be quiet. I spoke to the front desk about them and was told they had already left. No atm working so the housekeepers couldn't get their tip

Great rates

Posted Jul 11, 2014
The room was clean.. No critters if any were visible. Beds were extremely comfy. Staff in the hotel was excellent. The breakfast staff was amazing, wonderful with the kids. Helped with suggestions and travel site seeing plans. However, better training is needed for the other restaurant and bar, wait staff. The young lady we had both nights at dinner had the obviously has never served customers before. We we had to ask for extra napkins, ask for straws for our children, ask for cutlery to eat with, ask for refills... She never greeted us with a smile or had used any manners when clearing or serving. The only others thing I would like this restaurant to consider is a kids menu.

Not a place I would ever go again

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The price
Cons: The service, the cleanliness and the breakfast.
Location: The location was perfect for us as we just need a quick night sleep because we spent a couple days at canadas wonderland, which was not far.
Our stay was not a good one from check in to check out. All we needed was a quick place to sleep and the price was right but you get what you pay for. Our check in took forever, the staff was doing 10 things at the same time as he was the only one working. Our room was gross. In the morning we expected a full breakfast because thats what the website says but it was actually only a continential, which is something im very picking about because of my diet. All in all I would never recomend this place to anyone!

No wifi in rooms

Posted Jul 1, 2014
So I booked this hotel through Expedia because one of the main headlines was the hotel had Wi-Fi. This in fact is a totally why I choose to stay thereā€¦ One of the other things that was noted by myself and other guests is the ice machine was out of order constantly the one that's just in the lobby and then there are no others on other floors. Also the hot breakfast is a slice of stale toast and watered down coffee.

poor wifi connection

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Location: It is too far from downtown of Toronto. I think taking public transportation makes you tired.
Poor wifi connection made my trip inconvenient. It stops several times at the lobby and doesn't work in a room.

This should NOT be called an "airport hotel"

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Location: The restaurant inside the hotel had nothing left on their menu except pizza. The neighbourhood had a few pizza stores! If you only eat pizza - ok!
The room was dirty, it had not been vacuumed as there were the previous guests nail clipping all over the floor. The thermostat to the AC (and even contolls to the fan) in the room were taped up with masking tape, the room was airless and hot and smelled of stale cigarette even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. I had to sleep with one tiny little window open to get fresh air and the noise, and traffic dust kept me from sleeping.

Worst Stay

The stay was worst. All of the hotel smells with cigarette smoke and you can hear people screaming throughout the day including nights.

The airport shuttle was not free. Cost $10. Also was not a full breakfast but a very meager buffet. Overall dirty and not well maintained. Was 20 minutes from airport which I do not consider convenient. Will not stay again or recommend.
