Had the basicsPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: convenient to where we needed to go
Cons: New mattress's, the beds are super hard. Quicker way to get coffee, and at least 1 refill seems reasonable
Location: Right at the 405. Can be noisy, try to get a courtyard room. Not far to shopping and dining, beach is about 15 minutes.
Over all everything was fine. The breakfast is a little slow because it is not buffet style and only 2 people working but they did a good job even when dealing with difficult guests. Room was clean, but could use an update especially in the bathroom.

Good valuePosted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Nice and big room, inhouse Starbucks bar.
Location: It is rather outside frok the downtown, but you get a better price. The neighbourhood is not nice, but not dangerous or something.
We spent 2 nights in the hotel. The neighbourhood is not the best, some logistic centers and maybe a cement factory is quite close. Still it was not noisy or something. If you enter the hotel you forget it. Although is is rather in the outskirts, with car you can reach the downtown in 20 minutes. Shopping and restaurants are approx within 5-10 minn by car. The hotel has a pool, but it was renovated this time. The hotel staff was very kind and quick at check-in. Room and bath are nice, big and very clean. The lobby is also nice, with a business center. There is a clean wash room, you can get coins and wash powder at the reception. Breakfast is not included but they have an in-house Starbucks where you can eat and drink for an average price. We enjoyed our stay, it was a good choice, and very good quality for the price. Despite of the distance from the downtown still very practical with easy and free parking.

Good stay I'll come againPosted Oct 16, 2014
I would give the hotel 5 points, except the check in on first day. we have booked our whole trip with Expedia APP. We want to book the rooms from 3rd to 5th Oct on the 2nd Oct late night. We didn't notice that the date of the suggested date by the App was from 2nd to 4th Oct. So we were surprised that the booked room has been cancelled, because we were "no show", even if we were there within 24 Hour after the booking. The room should be kept for us at least 24 Hours. Instead of helping us, the supervisor of front desk could only say "sorry to hear that". Because 19:00 in LA was not service time of Expedia in Germany, we could not reach Expedia to clarify this issue of Software error. To be honest, we have no interesting to looking for another hotel after a long day driving. So we was "upgraded" to a suit room. But the front desk supervisor on the next day has helped us to clarify the stay with Expedia without any problems. Thanks a lot.

Beautiful Historic HotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: The architecture and the fact that it is a very old beautiful building.
Cons: Price- A little expensive
This is a beautiful historic hotel right downtown. It use to be a bank and they have kept the old world charm. It is a little expensive but a great place to stay

One Night Business TripPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Appearance, cleanliness, stylish
Cons: Wifi was not working for a few hours.
Location: Mostly industrial zone, but fairly close by to LA attractions (Disney, hollywood, beaches, etc.)
Only stayed for one night, but definitely would have been a nice hotel to stay a few nights. Room was very nice, and the lobby and courtyard appeared to be very cozy. Nice 24 hr bistro providing mostly breakfast and light meals. Surrounding location also very nice, especially for LA.
