“Wonderful time, beautiful setting”

A great hotel with quality staff and great facilities. The food was also excellent. The location is conveniently close to the M-5, which does mean that you can hear the highway noise at certain points on the grounds. The hotel is surrounded with great trails and contains an arboretum with a fascinating variety of species. Our daughter and her family family live nearby so we travel to England once or twice a year. We definitely plan to return to Tortworth Court Four Pillars and recommend it unreservedly to all.

“Great break”

The hotel is set in a lovely wooded area, very easy & pleasant to stroll around. The room was comfortable and clean with tea & coffee provided. We ate in each of the 4 options over the course of our stay. Each meal was enjoyable. The breakfast has a selection of hot and cold items. The only problem if you go at a busy time was getting a cup of tea or coffee. We used the spa, pool, sauna and steam room several times each. The only negative (but only slight) is that you go thru a small area past the sauna & stream room to go to the ladies changing room. This area can become very hot & humid if busy, which can affect the conditions in the ladies changing rooms too. There doesn't seem to be adequate ventilation. The areas were clean whenever we went and clean towels provided. (We didn't use the gym so can't comment on it.) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go again.

“What a magnificent place to stay and dine!!”

Tortworth Court had everything we had hoped for. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. If you go, make sure you have a drink in the courtyard - it's just stunning. We had an evening meal (well priced) and the breakfast was to die for. If you want a good weekend away, stay here. We stayed here so that we could visit The Cotswolds. The drive itself was about 30 minutes, but well worth it.

“Will definitely go to this hotel again.”

After checking in we took a look at our room which was rather small, however, following a chat with one of the receptionists we were moved to a larger room which was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and on Sunday morning was very busy - it was the weekend before Christmas. It would have been helpful to have known that on the Saturday evening that there was a wedding party and the hotel Christmas party which meant that both restaurants were closed; however........room service was excellent and there was plenty to watch on TV. The surrounding area is very pretty as are the hotel grounds. It only took 15 minutes to Bristol using the M5 where there is plenty of entertainment and places to eat. Overall we had a very enjoyable, relaxing weekend and would certainly visit Tortworth Court again.

“Living in a Stately Home”

We found this an extremely enjoyable hotel to stay in. It was near the motorway but peaceful. The grand original building is surrounded by the huge old trees of the Arboretum and we had a lovely walk. There was masses of car parking but the large events held on a couple of nights made us hope we could find a spare place, which we did. The new build all tones in well, but there are long walks down identical corridoors, however, you can park near your room. It is still a good walk to the diningroom etc. The Leisrue Club was extremely good large pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym - just watch you can only access up until 1 hour before closing. A pity because you often don't need the whole hour and I missed the time by 5 minutes once. The costume drier and a line over the bath were nice touches. The entrance hall is like entering a stately home with old portraits etc. The dining room was designed like a stately home library and the breakfast buffet was very good - they could have done with more than one toaster. We also had a meal one evening in the comfortable bar. The bedroom was large with two comfortable armchairs and a table. We would love to stay there again.

“Cotswolds gem”

Really nice place - fantastic history and sympathetic reconstruction going on, Would go back but would NOT have the carvery as this was a real let-down. The breakfast each morning was sumptuous however.

I would happily stay here again, it was right on a number of levels; beautiful setting, quiet, nice facilities. I wish I could afford it for a leisure stay.

We had an enjoyable stay and will return. Staff all helpful and a Gluten and Dairyfree diet complete with gluten free bread was catered for without prior warning which was impressive .
