A great breakPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: The location, the facilities and the staff.
Location: Centrally located for bars restaurants.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel de l'Opera for a rugby weekend and got a great deal through Expeadia. The hotel is located on the Place de Capitol central for the city. The facilities are five star an the staff excellent. All round a great experience and to cap it all Bath won convincingly!

Old, uncomfortable, narrow doorsPosted Dec 26, 2014
Cons: Demolish and build one with even floors
The hotel IS situated in a good location but then, the Crowne Plaza next door is modern and it elevators are bigger than 2'X2'... Id you have even the smallest suitcase, it almost impossible to roll, And, I was lucky enough to pay for the suite and it was another VERY steep 15 or so stairs to the door.... I arrived a day late to a prepaid reservation due to a late flight, there was no way the lady in charge will agree to change the reservation to the following next day, TO AN EMPTY hotel ( it was Christmas eve...). The Crowne Plaza has the same location and, it VERY nice...

Great HotelPosted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: The elegance of the surroundings in the hotel and being near some very good restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was very good and good value.
Cons: We did not experience any problems during our stay.
Location: The location is very near to shops and places of interest. Unfortunately we only had two nights in Toulouse so spent time enjoying cafe culture.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was very clean and confortable and all other areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. he hotel is in an excellent ,situation near the main square handy for shopping and for the Christmas market, which is why we were in Toulouse. We stayed there en route to Gers and could have spent longer there. so we hope to visit again sometime.

Great mix of modern and French traditional stylePosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, French styling and appointment - yet comfortable.
Location: Capitole square location is best in town.
Best location in Toulouse, combined with beautiful French style with a gracious staff. The hotel retains it's charm yet with all modern touches updated bathrooms, free wireless. Enjoy drinks in the salon and rich textiles and lovely decor. English speaking front desk team very helpful with excellent recommendations.

優雅な時代にタイムトリップPosted Oct 27, 2014 on Hotels.com

Pros: the old charm, the pleasant staff the proximity of the plaza many university students in city, so a general ambiance of youth and youthfulness
Cons: Make sure the Nespresso machines work
Location: Great plaza with diversity of concerts, nice restaurants, superb little shops, and very central to everything in the old part of the city.
I frequently travel to S. France and do so through Toulouse. The city is great and this hotel is unbeatable for location, efficiency, helpful and FRIENDLY staff. Thus I schedule my stay here whenever I can. I stayed at the "Carmen" room this time around. The rooms are a bit old, which is part of the hotel's charm from my view, but the curtains were a bit worn and the Nespresso machine (another part of the hotel's charm, if minor, from my view) did not work -- to my disappointment. Fortunately, there are coffee and cookies at the lobby. I have not tried their signature (Michelin 1-star) restaurant, but have often tried their Brasserie. Still good but perhaps the service was competent but more casual, not to say aloof/contemptuous/borderline/sultry than previous visits. My French language skills are high-intermediate, but this time around I was not with my wife, and French restaurants in general tend to be borderline rude when one has the audacity to request seating for "un seul couvert". It's just that, well, this is a hotel rest, and they can figure some of their guests will be traveling alone and for a high end hotel perhaps wish to do better for dinner than the corner pizzeria. Nor is it cheap... so be nice! Never mind, the hotel is overall very pleasant. Next time I will likely be there, and be with my wife, and the waiters will therefore likely be accomodating and courteous.
