Historic grandeur, modern comfortPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Historic atmosphere and lovely patio. Peaceful yet in the heart of the centre
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities and ironing board in room; wardrobe very small and not tall enough for longer dresses due to safe in base
Location: Very central, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby
We booked this hotel as a birthday treat, based on location, historic grandeur and value for money and were not disappointed. We had a terrible journey to France due to air traffic strikes, so missed one night but had prepaid the room and the staff were really nice when I rang to explain our delay. All staff were lovely throughout our stay, providing extra pillows, phone charger and advice. The room was lovely - rather small for more than one night and overlooking a light well so a bit dark; we couldn't change as the hotel was full, but the spacious lounge was just downstairs and our area was nice and quiet. We didn't have breakfast or use the hotel restaurant, but used the patio, had a drink in the beautiful bar and tried some of the excellent local restaurants. Would stay again if ever back in Toulouse.

Tres bel hotel. Un cachet opéra très marque. LuxePosted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: CONFORT ET ESTHETIQUE
Cons: INSONORISATION DE LA CHAMBRE

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location.Posted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: The location is perfect and the hotel is very beautiful and comfortable.
Cons: Only a very small thing, but tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. There is a mini bar but being English we like tea!
Location: The Place de Capitole is perfect to explore the city. Hire the bikes and you can cycle everywhere and see everything.
This was our second stay at Grand Hotel de L'Opera and was as memorable as the first. The staff could not be more helpful and Melissa at reception deserves a particular mention. Our son is studying at university this year in Toulouse and Melissa recommended ways of finding accommodation for him using a popular website. The hotel is beautifully furnished and very grand. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore this super city. The restaurants and cafes around Place de Capitole are great but walk a few metres away and the choice is endless. We even hired the bikes which was great fun and cycled down by the river. The buffet breakfast in the hotel was delicious with plenty of choice. We will definitely be back to visit soon and can highly recommend this beautiful gem of a hotel. Thank you again for such an enjoyable stay....

A great breakPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: The location, the facilities and the staff.
Location: Centrally located for bars restaurants.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel de l'Opera for a rugby weekend and got a great deal through Expeadia. The hotel is located on the Place de Capitol central for the city. The facilities are five star an the staff excellent. All round a great experience and to cap it all Bath won convincingly!

Old, uncomfortable, narrow doorsPosted Dec 26, 2014
Cons: Demolish and build one with even floors
The hotel IS situated in a good location but then, the Crowne Plaza next door is modern and it elevators are bigger than 2'X2'... Id you have even the smallest suitcase, it almost impossible to roll, And, I was lucky enough to pay for the suite and it was another VERY steep 15 or so stairs to the door.... I arrived a day late to a prepaid reservation due to a late flight, there was no way the lady in charge will agree to change the reservation to the following next day, TO AN EMPTY hotel ( it was Christmas eve...). The Crowne Plaza has the same location and, it VERY nice...

Great HotelPosted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: The elegance of the surroundings in the hotel and being near some very good restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was very good and good value.
Cons: We did not experience any problems during our stay.
Location: The location is very near to shops and places of interest. Unfortunately we only had two nights in Toulouse so spent time enjoying cafe culture.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was very clean and confortable and all other areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. he hotel is in an excellent ,situation near the main square handy for shopping and for the Christmas market, which is why we were in Toulouse. We stayed there en route to Gers and could have spent longer there. so we hope to visit again sometime.
