Hotel Balladins

Pros: Cleanliness and facilties available.
Cons: none
Location: Near to the motorway, and to Albertville for evening meals etc
As a stop over en route to Malta we found this hotel to be just right. The Manager was very caring and attentive to our needs - we travelled with our dog and there is plenty of safe garden space for excercise after a long drive.

Easy late entry, functional, hot water! Left early so didn't take breakfast.

Convenient overnight stop

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The convenient location and the Staff.
Cons: Bathroom/shower cleaning.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and huge retail park for supplies. The Geant/Casino is well stocked.
We have stayed here twice. We use it as an overnight stop on the way to ski in La Rosiere. The staff are friendly and helpful always. The rooms are generally clean although both times they smelled smokey, we opened the window for a few minutes which helped. The ensuite bathroom was basically clean although there were signs of very quick rinse without cleaning product where pink residue build up was forming - cleaning product every time the room is clean would prevent this. Overall it is clean and convenient and the price is right for us. Would still recommend as I assume the rooms may not be the same.

Handy and efficient - room smelled of smoke though

Used this as a stopover for ski hols. Arrived at midnight and didn't see a soul. You pull your room keys out of a machine. All feels v secure incl car park. Actually met a person following morning at breakfast which was surprisingly good for €6.50! Room smelled of smoke despite a big no smoking sign. A quick opening of both windows helped.

Great hotel for stop over stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well worth the money. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who was looking for an inexpensive short stay hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Fine for one night on way back from skiing

Posted Dec 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was absolutely fine for our purpose ie a one-night stopover on the way back from the mountains. The surrounding area is soul-less and depressing and it was a bit of a nightmare getting into the 'compound' as it was dark and I could not get the computer system in the little hut outside to register my reservation. Once in, though, the receptionist was very helpful and the room was OK - not luxurious but fine for what we needed and reasonably clean. Free breakfast for children - great value!
