“Great Restaurant and river view”

Stayed for a night in July. Grounds with Italian gardens nestled between the Castle walls of Amboise and the river were impressive. A five minute walk to the Town of Amboise and Chateau where Davinci is buried. Hotel was well kept for an older venue but beware there are no elevators. Wasn't planning on the workout dragging our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The room was acceptable for one night. Large bed and clean however the river view was dissapointing from a tiny skylight that you had to stand on a chair to see out of. There were some charming things like the breakfast in the gardens and old school keys that weigh 5 lbs. The best part by far was the restaurant and we would visit again and recommend this hotel because of it. Traditional French cuisine that was one of our best meals in France with a fabulous view of the River below. It made for a romantic evening and allowed me to overlook the lack of elevators.
