Excellent hotel for visiting SilverstonePosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The location and standard of bedroom
Cons: The bar area, standard of service & bad language
Location: Excellent easy walk to the race track.
We have stayed here several times, on this occasion it was let down by a wedding being held, there were several loud children running around in the bar area. Also the level of service in the bar was much lower than previously experienced, tables left dirty and no table service offered, the wait at the bar area was beyond what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Whilst we waited at the bar to be served some male guests were very load and using obscene language, I would have expected a member of staff to ask them to refrain but it seemed to go un-noticed by the bar staff.

Didnt live up to expectationsPosted Sep 12, 2012
Pros: The room was very clean and housekeeping staff were friendly
Cons: Having to move rooms twice and then the room being noisy
We asked for a kingsize bed and were told on arrival the hotel had no kingsize beds. After complaining about our room and the small bed we were moved to a room with a kingsize bed. We were then told we would need to be moved again aswe could not stay in the room we had been moved to. The room we ended up did have a king size bed despite the earlier comments. The room was not well sound proofed and we could frequently hear noise from other rooms and were disturbed by noise during the night. The room was very clean and we had no complaints about the housekeeping staff at all. The phone didnt work and took ages to fix and then that also became faulty. Spa use was not included with the room and is £27 per day. We were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. I would not stay again.

wedding night stayPosted Aug 5, 2012
Pros: early check in request honourned
Cons: staff friendly but a little stiff and robotic. no real sense of being welcome
Location: excellent for our needs as wedding on the same site
booked with a group for my daughters wedding at a nearby venue. Called at the hotel a week before our one night stay to request an early check in. This request was complied with. Returned to the hotel at 12 midnight to find the bar closed. They found someone to open it but would not serve draught beer, Breakfast buffet was excellent. Did not take other meals,

Verr Dissapointing - needs a refurbPosted Jul 8, 2012
Pros: The breakfast food
Cons: The decor
Location: Great for the wedding we attended in the Orangery, but not close to anything else.
This hotel needs a really good refurbishment! The price of the rooms is in no way reflected in the quality of the hotel. I feel that the hotel puts up prices as it has a spa, it is close to Silverstone and holds weddings. As there is not many more hotels in the area customers are forced to stay here for these events, but are not getting value for money. The hotel is also very noisy during the night. It must have thin walls! I also said good morning to a member of staff and they just blanked me. Obviously they need update their customer training. Verry dissapointing!
