Excellent location, below average service
This place has so much potential - the location is perfect for day trips to Erice, the coast and vineyards, and the views are unbeatable. Unfortunately the rooms are tired, the air conditioning not very good, the owner disinterested in guests, and despite being nearly empty they still charge extra for a room with a view! Breakfast was not good value, and despite advertising being a pizzeria, the restaurant didn’t serve pizzas the night we were there.

Large hotel with extensive green site , large pool
Good experience overall , light and nicely furnished bar , good range of drinks . Large quiet room with views out toward the sea , and an excellent set menu with a wide choice of hors d'oevres at a very good price . On the downside , staff kept very busy with large number of coach trippers . Very difficult first time access and poor labelling off the S115 with loops from this road not well labelled and we needed a couple of goes to access the turn off . At the Hotel a map was provided but even that not very clear . Had to ask for an extra chair and bedside light for the room , only one of each provided and we were staying 3 nights .

Splendid view and good facilities
We stayed for one night here. The view is beautiful and it stands out. The place is quiet and the pool area is really nice. Restaurant is also good value for money

A nice stay in a unique room
We stayed only one night in one of the traditional rooms but we liked it. Two small windows (one was on the floor!) with wooden shutters and a little balcony you could crawl out onto for a fantastic view of the water and countryside. It was a bit warm in the room so maybe too much in the summer but it was still cool enough in May. The only irritating part was the shower which was just a curtained off section of the bathroom. Shaving in this is a nightmare unless you like wet cloth sticking to you as you try to balance on one leg and not end up in the bidet! Breakfast was nothing special but at least there was meat and cheese. They keep the grounds of this hotel well maintained so it has lots of charm and smelled clean everywhere.

Nice retreat with super views!
Great location to visit sites like Segesta, Erice, Marsala, and Trapani, high above a bay on NW coast of Sicily. Out of town, no other dining options than the hotel, which was ok but not fabulous tho' the restaurant views were breathtaking of sea and mountains in the distance. Good wine, fair prices. Our booking made over a month ahead, was for a "traditional room" - when we arrived we were told none was available and we were put in the "new wing". Pleasant tho' small, nice garden view, good bath and A/C (which wasn't yet working, due to our early June arrival, and honestly, not yet needed). We were relocated the next day to a traditional room - very quaint, stone walls, farm-like, but darker and no A/C which could be a problem in the later summer, tho' breezes flowed thru the non-screened windows (had bars, kinda' like a prison cell, a bit disconcerting). The bath was more primitive than the newer room, water flow in shower barely strong at all, nor very hot. Charming, but.....

We based our stay on a photo and comments from the Eyewitness Travel book, showing a lovely old stone room with a carved beam ceiling. We asked for, and were given, a room in the old building. Imagine our surprise when we were shown into a motel-white room with no ambiance at all: paper-thin walls, plastic drinking cups, a cracked toilet seat... I speak Italian, and mentioned that the room wasn't like the picture we'd seen, and that we were a little disappointed by that. Our receptionist shrugged her shoulders and agreed. That said, it's fine. The location is terrific for exploring Erice, Segesta, even Selinunte. The restaurant is average and convenient.

We were very disappointed as we drove near as the implication was that the hotel was high on a hill alone. It is off quite a busy main road which is a very unattractive shopping street The photos of hotel made it look delightful which it is from some angles, But the new part is just a modern box and the room we were shown to was not nice at all. We asked to be in old part of hotel (the photographed bit) and were told no a/c but as it was not that hot and we were only staying 3 days we took it at an extra 10 euros per night. However when we got into bed the first night the sheets were damp! Rectified the next day however. The restaurant has great views but is pretty grim and food not great. A long drive to get anywhere with good food.

An oasis!
In the middle of a chaotic area of Catania sits this little green, cool gem. There was nothing about it that we would criticize. We stayed there because of its proximity to the airport .... which we reached in about twenty minutes.

its a shame!!!
we arrived at the hotel, the views are amazing....the old part of the hotel is very rustic and well kept. unfortunatley we found the staff not so friendly or communative. breakfast is very very basic......we dined in the restuarnat on our first night,the waiting staff were very "limp" food was ok!!! ish!!! the pool is used twice weekly for 3 hours (10am to 1pm)for the local kids swimming club, so if ya out by the pool chilling, and fancy a cool dip in the pool......hard luck!!!! was disappionted that the guests were not notified of these weekly events. the farmhouse is where we stayed,(no ac, just fans) the rooms are very "oldy woldy" loved it!! its a shame that it lacked these things that could make this more recommendable/ good for a one to two night stop over....only.

Etat genaral et entretien mediocres (sable dans la piscine, chasse d'eau cassée , déco vieillotte..) , chambre spartiate et equipement rudimentaire (aucun mobilier dans la salle de bain , gobelets en plastique mou meme au petit dejeuner ..), petit ejeuner tres mediocre (pain dur , gateaux industriels, jus de fruit chimiques ...) .ne merite pas ses 3 etoiles . Per niente soddisfatto
Arrivati in hotel io e mia moglie abbiamo effettuato il check in e il personale addetto non ci ha accompagnato alla camera che tra l'altro si trovava nella parte antica del dell'hotel (un antico baglio ristrutturato). Arrivati nella camera la quale si trovava a pianterreno senza finestra con una porta che dava sulla strada e poi il bagno ceco con doccia sul pavimento, invece nelle foto fanno vedere le camere con le finestre e le vedute panoramiche. Siamo ritornati alla reception e abbiamo chiesto una camera decente e ci hanno fatto pagare 40€ per due notti

Hotel orribile
Avevo prenotato l’hotel perché la foto della struttura era molto interessante, appena arrivati ci hanno proposto una camera nella parte vecchia, con i muri di pietra a vista, senza finestre, un solo abbaino piccolissimo, bagno indecente e puzza di muffa. Ho chiesto di cambiare e ci hanno offerto una camera nella parte nuova della struttura, con vista mare, peccato che le finestra con vista mare non si apriva perché era inchiodata per motivi di sicurezza e la stanza era così piccola e senza un balconcino che non ci si muoveva. E hanno chiesto un sovrapprezzo di 15 euro al giorno per la vista mare. Il prezzo che abbiamo pagato a giugno, 2 adulti e 2 bambini era di euro 155 a giorno. Sconsiglio assolutissimamente questo hotel!

Het is een behoorlijk groot hotel. Ligt vlakbij het dorp Valderice. Mooi terrein met eigen restaurant en zwembad. Alles keurig aangelegd.

Abbiamo soggiornato al Baglio una settimana. Posizione ottima per visitare le spiagge e le zone circostanti: San Vito, Erice, Cornino , Bonagia. Il Baglio e' una bella struttura , siamo stati bene. Colazione ridotta e la camera priva di terrazzo non permetteva di asciugare i costumi e i teli in camera! Ha soggiornato in Agosto 2016, viaggiato in famiglia

Hotel in posizione panoramica, molto comodo, con piscina, ristorante e vari spazi per rilassarsi. Ottimo come base per escursioni nel trapanese e per qualche giorno all'insegna del relax.

freundlich, altes und modernes ambiente
sauberes hotel und zuvorkommendes personal. pizza im restaurant war top (war nur eine nacht dort). hat einen alten und neuen hotelkomplex. ich wählte den alten. hatte keine airkondition, dafür ein ventilator. tv war auch alt (röhren-tv) wusste ich alles und war damit und vor allem mit dem ambiente sehr zufrieden. einziger nachteil: auf der einen seite des pools kommt die lüftung der küche (oder airkondition des hotels heraus) ist aber ertragbar.

Ci è stata data una stanza nel corpo antico del casale la n. 42 molto caratteristico ma che presentava le seguenti particolarità, l ingresso dal corridoio era molto buio la porta finestra che illumina la stanza era bloccata ed affacciava su una rampa il soffitto del bagno in cemento a vista era stato interessato da recenti infiltrazioni e mal restaurato, la camera insomma era una delusione. Per contro la posizione del Baglio è stupenda con una piscina con vista panoramica formidabile. Peccato che la colazione venga servita in una sala posta sul retro e quindi non poter godere di un panorama di straordinaria bellezza. Io ho avuto l impressione che venga posta maggiore attenzione alla attività legata ad eventi che alla ospitalità dei singoli.

Grazioso baglio del 1700 con piscina
Posizione strategica, vista incantevole, piscina e ristorante-pizzeria a disposizione per un soggiorno di sicuro relax in un angolo incantevole della Sicilia. Personale cortese, ambienti puliti. Insomma, ottimo!

Per chi come noi ama la tranquillità. Posizione perfetta perché equidistante dai punti di interesse che volevamo visitare. Non è sul mare ma la vista è splendida. Il ristorante ( menù alla carta) assolutamente valido e con prezzi non esosi. La camera nel baglio vecchio molto caratteristica e spaziosa, il bagno non nuovissimo ma assolutamente pulito. Unico neo l'eccessiva vicinanza della toilette della camera a fianco e l'insonorizzazione non perfetta.

La vista dalla piscina merita sicuramente. Tuttavia la camera era molto piccola e soprattutto non c'era l'aria condizionata ma solo un piccolo ventilatore. Essendo agosto, era molto caldo. La colazione è stata deludente. I cornetti erano bruciacchiati. Assenti altre tipologie di dolci. Il personale potrebbe fare di meglio. Non era scortese ma neanche troppo disponibile. Complessivamente merita il prezzo che abbiamo pagato, visto che era basso rispetto la media. Al ristorante abbiamo mangiato antipasti e primi ed erano abbastanza buoni.

giornate di metà ottobre molto calde, ma con un poco di pioggia. bellisssima gita a mozia e poi a scopello che ho trovato meraviglioso, sia il borgo che le spiagge- in albergo abbiamo cenato la prima sera, ma non si puo servire pesce surgelato a due passi dal mare

Nous n avons pas eu les chambres que nous avions réservés dans le bâtiment anien de l hôtel. Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans l aile moderne, absolument sans charme. Accueil impersonnel voire même désagréable.
