Great hillside "hideaway" with a stunning view.
Great Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms, good restaurant and good parking space. Are not close to anything so you need a car to get around. The road from the coast and up is a challenge in the dark with a big car. There is a "main "road above the hotel that are recommended.

Excellent hotel
We loved this hotel and definitely recommend it. We stayed in an igloo, which was very quiet and dark, so easy to sleep and relax. Just a couple of things to be aware of. It takes about 40 minutes to walk into the centre as the hotel is a bit far away. You have to wear swimming caps in the pool which the hotel charge 10 euroes for, I would definitely buy them beforehand if you can. Apart from the reception desk the staff don't speak any English, so get ready with your phrase book and a lot of confusion when you get your answer. Watch out for the wasps as breakfast, they are very persistent! Definitely try out the hotel restaurant though, it's an absolute gem.

Avoid. Weddings and party every night.
The hotels grounds are ok for the price but I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. First some of the bungalows are in terrible state with rotten wooden frames, ant infested walls and terrible showers (see pictures). The new ones that have been refurbished are fine. We had a reservation for a new bungalow but management "forgot" to put us in a new one (they did reimburse the difference). Bear in mind that location is outside Marsala. The pool is used daily by local kids for swimming lessons. Most annoyingly is the hotel has daily (for the 10 days we were there) wedding and parties. This is their main money maker so they do not care at all about hotel customers. We were kicked out of the pool without notice at mid-day as they had to prepare for a party at night. And the parties, including loud music last till 2 or 3 am. The parties are very big, so bear in mind that you have an additional 200/300 people on the ground...basically at the door step of your room.

Good features, horrible bungalow.
The hotel itself is beautiful for weddings etc (why we were there) however avoid the bungalows at all costs - shower could almost not be showered in!!(too small) and it's much smaller than the pictures, doesn't have any light really.... And bugs easily get in + everything can be heard through the wall - the reason we took three bed was to have privacy but no privacy at all. Pizzeria was absolutely amazing though! Breakfast wasn't much either really.

Lovely place to unwind
Great hotel to relax and unwind. Beautiful gardens and pool area, all kept very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast first class. Light lunches, snacks very good and choice of artisan beers excellent. Only downside and only if you stay in the main hotel and not one of the bungalows in the gardens, is the number of weddings/functions they hold. They normally finish late, early hours of the morning, so you may be disturbed by people noise and vehicles. Apart from this everything first rate.

Low cost luxury with breakfast by the pool.
We would definately recomend this hotel. Approaching through Marsala we were apprehensive as the general area seem unimpressive but the hotel and grounds are a welcome oasis. No shabby chic here. It's a hotel that is full of charcter that is also well maintained. Reception staff were v. hepful. We had dinner on the terrace overlooking a walled garden, v romantic, served by friendly smiling waiters. Breakfast, with an amazing variety of pastries, was served by the pool. The down side of our stay was that we arrived just after 6 pm and the pool closes at 7pm (swimming caps must be worn but they can be purchased for 2.50 euros). We were only staying over night for a pit stop, as we toured the island, but it is the one hotel that we would like to have spent more time at to just relax in the setting.

We had a one night stop off as we were traveling around Sicily. We had our own bungalow that looked like a pod/igloo. It was clean and comfy although a little basic. The main hotel is very grand and modern and the ground are well kept and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing the best we have found after travelling around the island it had eggs,cereal, fresh fruit, savoury bread rolls, a great meat and cheese selection, an array of pastries and delicious stunning cream cakes. Staff friendly, free WiFi in reception and plenty of parking. Would recommend as we would stay there again.

fantastic find
We stumbled across this hotel following a nightmmare at our original hotel. Absolutely fabulous find. The restaurant was sublime and the staff were superb. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. The bespoke “igloo style” bungalows were truly unique and amazing. Please make a point of staying if you plan to stay in Sicily. We'll most definitely be back!

Basic Hotel
The staff was wonderful, very responsive. The pool required caps which was annoying. the shower was moldy and VERY small. The restaurant was out of different dishes that we wanted to try, and there was no parking when there was a wedding event, which was all weekend in the evenings.

Usine à touristes. Nous avions réservé un bungalow mais comme ce jour là l’hôtel recevait deux mariages, le directeur a voulu nous mettre dans une chambre en sous pente. Notre réservation ne comptait pas à ses yeux. Il a été très désagréable, assez méprisant. Nous déconseillons fortement cet endroit où vous êtes un numéro avec un portefeuille et rien d’autre.

Gentile Elise,la ringraziamo per la sua recensione, vorremmo sottolineare che a causa di un guasto tecnico che non dipendeva dalla nostra azienda vi avevamo dato un free upgrade grauito di categoria superiore e non è staro accettato da parte vostra in quanto obbligatoriamente la vostra richiesta mai pervenuta er acon 2 letti separati.vi è stato proposto una camera presso la nostra seconda struttura hotel carmine e avete accettato.Tengo a sottolineare che dopo aver trascorso la prima notte presso hotel carmine, avete pagato la tassa di soggiorno è andati via senza pagare l'importo della camera per 2 notti, abbiamo provato ad addebitare la notte suilla carta di credito fornita ad expedia e la carta non era valida.Normalemente accettiamo qualsiasi tipo di feedback, normalemtne noi non ci comportiamo come vi siete comportati utilizzando una notte la struttura senza saldare il conto.La ringrazio nuovamente per il suo feedback in quanto volevamo esattamente spiegare come sono andati i fatti.Saluti

Très bel hôtel dans lequel sont organisés tous les jours mariages et autres réceptions . Très bruyant jusqu’à 1h du matin. Ce n’est pas vraiment un hôtel cosy pour les couples mais c’est un lieu magnifique pour les soirées

Decepcionante hotel y muy mala atención socorrista
El peor hotel en el que he estado en mucho tiempo. El peor de los 5 en los q estuve en Sicilia. Desayuno malo,quedando 30 minutos para terminar el horario ya no quedaban más de la mitad de los platos q había y sin posibilidad probarlos. No había ningún fiambre ni pan..y eso q había 3.personas por allí aún no sé muy bien para qué. Me da la impresión de q quieren vender un buen hotel y se quedan en las ganas..he visitado muchos hoteles en mi vida y como ya dije de los peores. No pude disfrutar tampoco de la piscina ya q el socorrista es quien decide el horario de cierre. Llegué de.un viaje de 3 horas en coche.. el domingo 3 de agosto..hice el checking a las 18.15 horas..fui a la piscina simplemente para aliviarme.del calor.. evidentemente sabia.la hora de cierre repito solo quería darme un pequeño chapuzón para aliviarme del calor y cuál fue mi.sorpresa q eran las 18.45 y me encontré.con q el socorrista mochila en mano..me dijo q estaba cerrando..ya tenía la piscina con una cuerda...haya q ser más serio en el trabajo... con la mala suerte de q me caí 5 escalones por mirar para el y sus.malditas.explicaciones.( ya me imaginaba q se iba al verlo venir hacia nosotros todo borde?..vamos!!! para.haberme matado... aún tengo moratones por medio cuerpo Para mi marido y para mí totalmente decepcionante y la actitud del socorrista vergonzosa.
