Great location for Swamp Rabbit Trail fans

This was our second stay here to bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and came a year after our first. Very nice hotel. They're fine with guests bringing their bikes into their rooms.

Not what I expect from a Hampton Inn

no microwave, no refrigerator, dirty and sticky carpet, tub took 20 minutes to drain, commode handle had to be "jiggled" to stop it from running every time it was flushed. No where near worth the Hampton Inn name or the amount that was charged for the room.

The afternoon personnel at the desk was helpful in directing to a couple of good places to eat. Mine was a short stay for some continuning education, so all-in-all the hotel met my needs.

From check in til check out a very nice stay. Room very clean to the point that the carpet may have just been cleaned. Carpet felt damp and there were small pieces of nap which stuck to feet and socks. Hotel was updating and construction was in progress but there were no noises or disruption of service. Would most certainly stay again.

Very dirty carpet, mold on tile floor, old beds!

Bedding was clean and nice convenient location near a Wal-mart and lots of fast foods, but breakfast service was very poor. The scrambled eggs and toast and cold water were all empty. We asked the server, and 20 minutes later, they were still not refilled. Walk on the bedroom carpet and your feet turn black. Also lots of mold on the bathroom tile. Could not believe this hotel was rated a "4 out of 5" by others. I travel for work often, and have seen it all, but this is a "2 out of 5" for sure.

Super Staff

Pros: Location.
Cons: Breakfast area crowded. In the middle of renovations.
Location: Shortfield's restaurant downtown is super. Also the "Swamp rabbit Trail."
Fitness center was being renovated so the front desk clerk suggested the "Swamp rabbit Trail" to me. It is very close and a lovely walk, run , bike trail. I will be back.

Funeral attendance

Pros: Clean, location and friendliness.
Cons: For our stay, was great!
Location: Close to places to eat, shop and close to our family.
Close to the mortuary, and family. Very convenient location and nice facility. Very accommodating for our needs. We had to check out at 11:00 a.m., funeral wasn't until 3:00 p.m. However, the did allow us to return and use restroom to change into traveling clothes for our return to Ohio after the funeral service. Very nice attitudes and helpful employees.

For our situation, Hampton Inn-Greenville/Travelers Rest was a very good location. It seemed like some of the hotel was under remodeling. The hallway was extremely warm when going from our room which was quite a ways from the elevator. Our room was on the highway side of the hotel so next time I would request a room facing the front. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable night. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Okay, not great!

Let me start by saying this hotel was undergoing some renovations. Perhaps that is why the hallway areas were not air conditioned. Seriously, it was warmer in the halls of this hotel than it was outside. Thankfully, the AC in our room was fine! The room was clean but clearly could use some updates. The safety lock on our door was broken. Location was perfect for us and breakfast was fine. Would most likely stay there again because of the location, but this is not the best Hampton Inn we have visited.
