Ramon, who checked us it, was especially helpful & kind. We loved the boxed breakfast option. Nice amenities, & we were able to get a 1st floor room, with all the feature for handicapped. In my case my husband is blind, so our room was just perfect for us.

Overall the hotel was okay. The pool and hot tub were also a good place, also for our kids. The breakfast gets delivered to your room. All pre-packed things, but not very tasty. We had quite some stains on bed covers (some blood) and old spilled coffee on drawers. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Got in my room and it was dirty and there was human species. All over my toilet is disgusting. The refrigerator was dirty. The microwave was dirty. The tables were dirty not wipe down, gross very dusty. The only thing decent was the bed was clean. The bed was uncomfortable didn’t get no refund or anything didn’t get moved to another room. It was very bad.

The property is located on a beautiful beach. Walking up and down the beach is wonderful. The traffic leaving the property is extremely busy and there are limited restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast room was once fantastic - now they provide you with pre made boxed breakfast options that are sub par. There was also no bathtub in the room that we had. The beds were not very comfortable, I feel like they are wrapped in plastic and that made us sweat a lot throughout the night. I have frequented this hotel for many years and I feel it has gone down hill over the last few years.

Overall the our stay was pretty good, wasn’t impressed with the “free breakfast”, have to pre order your breakfast the night before and pick a time for it to be delivered to your room, the breakfast selection is very poor if you’re looking for more than cold cereal, bagels or a breakfast sandwich. Lucky for us there’s a Bob Evan’s right down the street.

Sugar Beach is a gorgeous property on Lake Michigan. Our room was amazing! We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves! The off-season price was fantastic! A special thank-you to Thomas at the front desk, who was friendly, professional and very welcoming!

We always have a good experience when we stay at Sugar Beach! It's close to restaurants, shopping, and my daughter loves the indoor pool! We got the Junior suite this time and it's perfect for a small family. Spacious bathroom with separate shower and bath and even had a TV in the bathroom. My daughter thought that was so cool!

This is our first time staying at Sugar Beach but I have stayed before at Grand Beach. Both same hotel and almost identical rooms. We love the area right off the water and always book a room with a view. Even if winter, it is very beautiful. I recommend it!
