Nice ammenitiesPosted Oct 23, 2013
Overall a good experience. Don't care for the 14% (state mandated?) resort taxes added to to the rate that is given upon booking the resort, thus increasing the cost to stay. Determining worthiness depends on how much time you spend in the room. It has a kitchen/refrigerator, table settings, small dining table and a couch. The large upstairs room makes it a good weekend setup for a family of 4. Nice place to stay however plan to bring your own pillows.

Nice motel suitePosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Plenty of room. Kitchen if you like to cook. Newer flat screen TVs in both living room area and bedroom. Upstairs had a cool skylight.
Cons: Would have been nice if they kept the hot tub open longer. It was closed and drained for our visit.
Location: Wine tasting, beaches, downtown area, breweries, shopping, fall color.
Clean, quiet and close to many things. We stayed on 10/12 for a color tour/wine tasting experience.

Pros: Large room at a great rate!

Room a great value. Thank you for a nice stay. Plenty of room and very, very quiet.

A little different.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Looks like it's being run by a real estate company. My room had a second floor with two additional beds. Very clean. Wifi was terrible. Price was right.

Great value. Comfortable and easy-going,Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: We liked the homey atmosphere of the space.
Location: Traverse Bay Inn is in a fine location for accessing nearly everything.
For the price, this is a wonderful place. There are the obvious shortcomings of a small bathroom, traffic noise and a carpet that could be deep cleaned better, but with being gone all day anyway, it is a nice place to come back to in the evenings and take one's time leaving in the morning. We saved a ton of money with the kitchenette and it made our stay more homey. The staff was courteous and helpful as well. Expedia messed up our reservations, so we actually payed less than expected for our room. Next time, we'll book direct!

Quick FixPosted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Liked the kitchenette, and the separate bedrooms. Loved the king bedroom upstairs with the jacuzzi! Was a perfect ending to a great trip!
Cons: I suggest an ice machine for those that need ice quicker than can be made in the freezer.
Location: The beach is close, downtown shops and activity places for children are also very close by.
We had to find a room to stay an additional night while in Traverse City. We found this hotel online and were very satisfied with the quality of the hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the biking but would probably stay there again and try it next time. The pool was nice, although it would be nice to have the option of an indoor pool as well. I would also suggest having ice machines somewhere for those that are only there a night or so since we need ice immediate and don't always have time to wait for it to set in the freezer. I would definitely recommend this room to others especially if they are going to be staying for more than a few days. It is convenient to the beach and a good value for the money. When I first saw it I had doubts but the inside of the rooms are very nice.

Sweet suite!Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: It was conveniently located on the main drag with many choices nearby for dining at every price range. There were televisions in both bedrooms as wel.
Cons: The couch in the living area was very comfortable, but a couple more chairs would have been a plus. However, there was minimal space.
Location: Perfectly located with many options for dining and activities.
The suite was very nice. There was a small kitchenette that was fully stocked, a bedroom downstairs, a large bedroom upstairs with two full beds, a small living area and a nice bath. I think, with the addition of at least a half bath upstairs, it would have been perfect. I would gladly have given up one of the beds upstairs in order to create a small bathroom. As older travelers, climbing up and down stairs in the night was just not ideal. That being said, the beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice and quiet!Posted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: The hotel is clean, reasonable and near town.
Cons: We found parking spots but would not want to arrive late for fear there would be no where to put the car.
Location: All the fun activities of summer in Traverse City are nearby. Take your pick!
For the second year in a row, we booked the same hotel room because it was clean, quiet, and had a kitchenette. We selected a room for 1 or 2 people that requires a climb up a flight of stairs. There are only a few rooms "upstairs" because most are first-floor, park-at-your-door motel rooms. We heard no road noise, car touts, or people talking and were happy for the quiet and privacy. The pricing is reasonable for a summer, resort area motel. If you don't like stairs or have more than 2 people, the rooms on the main level would be good, too.
