Pros: Historic look
Cons: Nothing

It was a very nice experience. This place is First Class and they treat you that way too. Could not ask for a better place in this area. Restaurant is great as well.

You can be just as miserable at a motel 6

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Backs to VERY loud and active train tracks. Parking structure in rear of hotel is used by every teenager in Johnson city as a race course. . . . . all night long! You can be just as miserable in a motel 6 for half the cost!

Beautiful hotel with Southern hospitality

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The comfort.
Cons: The pool plaster needs detailing.
This was a lovely surprise booked for an emergency visit. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is warm and efficient. The food is excellent. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are sparkling. The decor is lovely with some southern charm. Great place to book for weddings etc.. Staff at the front desk 24/7. However the lovely sparkling pool could use some minor detailing. We booked this last minute as a family member is gravely ill. The hotel took care of us and made a difficult situation less discomfiting. I will probably be back and will definitely book this hotel.

A Lovely find

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious.
We booked last minute, not knowing what we would find. Pulled in late at night to find wedding goers enjoying themselves in an elegant setting. It is an hour from Asheville and a great stopping point for those dropping off or picking up children from summer camp. We already want to go back again.
