“would stay there again if in that area again”

nice hotel. just to let you know dont go into this hotel thinking its a five star hotel its not but for the price it is a nice place to stay the night.there are alot of dining place to chose from near and there are several night clubs near by if your into that kind of thing. all in all i injoyed my stay.

We stayed several days as an outpost while we explored and hiked our way around the Virginia Panhandle. For our purpose, it served us well. The place is pet friendly, and has a large grass area for pets. For dining, there are numerous good restaruants within 5 miles of the motel, including downtown, which is only 1.5 miles south. The shower was good, although hard to regulate the temperature. The wireless internet connection worked great, fast and easy hookup. The TV was nice and large with a full range of cable stations. The air conditioner worked quite well, even when the evening sun hit our side of the building. The breakfast in the morning was quite adequate for us. Very good coffee. They had big fluffy southern biscuits and hot sausage gravy, which was all we needed. Lots of other stuff there on the buffet, but when you have all the biscuits and gravy you can eat every morning, what sane person would want anything else? On the down side, the drains were slow (sink and shower), indicating a more substatial plumbing problem down the line. The temperature control knob on the fridge was broken, so much of our pop froze the first night until I fixed the setting with a pocket knife. All rooms have a common exhaust system, so at times when opening the door, the pressure drop would allow a smoke odor to come in the room, but that soon disappeared after closing the door. But all of these are quickly forgotten with a liberal application of good buiscuits and gravy every morning!

“Pet friendly”

This motel is about what you would expect for its price range; not great but not bad either. A big plus for us, though, is that they are pet friendly. There is also a State Park in the city, Warriors Path, that is a great place to walk the dog; and many people were doing just that on our trip there.

“Worst Super 8 I have ever stayed in!!”

Wouldn't stay here again! When we arrived for our late check in, the clerk was in the lobby area with her boyfriend. She did check us in quickly, but acted as though it was an inconvience. When we got to our room, it appeared clean, but between the bed & wall was a childs hat & dirty diapers from a previous stay(picture I included). There were also beer bottle tops scattered around the air unit, clearly vaccumed over as they were pused down in the carpet. Housekeeping didn't even offer to make the beds after the first night, they just took out the trash and the used towels (didn't leave fresh towels either). I was VERY dissappointed & will not be staying here again!! Worst Super 8 I have ever stayed in!

“Will use another hotel next time”

The desk clerk was friendly and helpful, but the service staff did not do their job. The room had not been cleaned after the last occupants. The bedsheets had not been changed , one bed was wet with urine. The clerk did quickly move us to another room and will try to rebate part of the room charge.

“hotel from hell”

OMG this was the worst place i ever stayed at , The wood fabic type chairs were so badly stain , the head board to the bed was not mounted to any thing , so it banged when ever you moved in the bed , the carpet was dirty , there were cobwebs in on the ceilings , the bed was old an sunk in the middle , An to top all that off the bathroom floor was sticky , an there was MOLD growing in sersvral places in the bathroom, This was a requested smoking room , That smelled like a gaint ashtray, ewwww, An the final thing , are you ready , They allowed small charcol grills outside the door of the rooms ,, some one yell FIRE !!!! calling costomer service an damanding my money back , ill never use them again !!
