Not Satisfied despite the viewsPosted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
We felt 'gouged' / taken by the price of some house wine at lunch compared to the equivalent at many other places we had stayed on this 6 week trip. We were told to sit by the wall at breakfast although we asked for a vacant table near the window because we were only a twosome and not a group. Ironically 10 minutes later a single person was sitting at the table by the window. There was a coldness in the attitudes of the staff when compared to most other hotels. It hurt our impression of this small country. Views were excellent but we were not satisfied with this hotel experience.

Uncomfortable BedPosted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Location near the top of a hill provided spectacular view from the dining room.
Location: It's a beautiful place and cute town, but almost everything is closed by 2pm on Saturday, so there's not much to do on a weekend visit.
Checkin was fine. The room seemed pretty rustic and basic, but serviceable for our needs...until we went to bed. The fabric on the sheets, duvets and pillows is very rough and the pillow is a huge solid square. I couldn't get the pillow to a comfortable position and tossed most of the night until I got the duvet twisted up into a shape that would pass for a substitute pillow. Tossing and turning...the bed was incredibly creaky, which also made it difficult to sleep - and kept waking up my husband & daughter. If you like church bells, the church across the street provides charming ambiance, but be warned that it "chimes" every 15 minutes until at least 10pm and the 7am call to mass on Sunday morning is a lovely wake up call. If you miss it, don't worry - there will be two more long calls to mass within the next 2 1/2 hours. Breakfast was adequate, but typical bread and cheese.

Mountain RetreatPosted Oct 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located in the mountains, a 15 minute drive from the city on a multiple switch back road. The room was fairly large for Europe. There was a nice balcony off of it. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Overall, fairly goodPosted Aug 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great position, overlooking the Rhine Valley and the views from the room, and dining room are spectacular. Food was good, although some of the breakfast items are not replenished even as early as 8.30. The room in our view is not as described. There was no sofa, or separate seating area - just one ordinary chair next to the bed. When I queried this I was told that the balcony was the sitting area, or I could sit outside in the lobby! The beds are not double either, but two separate singles. If it is described as a twin room, fine, it's twin beds. But a double is one standalone item in my book.

The best view in Liechtenstein!Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The view, in particular!
Location: The hotel is right next to the Walser Museum, which is interesting as long as you speak German! The joy of this location is walking, though.
The hotel is high above Vaduz but in walking distance (as long as you like a good mountain walk!) and the views over the valley are breathtaking. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, especially with the balcony overlooking that fantastic view.
