I had a rental car, coming from the Dolomites mountains, so it was very convenient to stay here, with private parking, since cars are not allowed in Venice proper. The place is rustic with friendly owners. I actually enjoyed driving to a local church nearby and leaving my car for the day for free, and taking the bus into Venice with mostly local people.(the ride takes about 30 minutes). The best strategy is to buy an all day 24 hour Venice ACTV tourist pass for 20 euros (28 euros for 48 hours), which can be use on all public transportation, including the "vaporetti" boats which take you to any of the many islands that make up Venice. The card is a terrific bargain.
The B & B wa clean and comfortable, the breakfast adequate, with free espresso and cappuccino.
