Wish we could have stayed longerPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
My boyfriend and I visited for three days from Hawaii. The place was extremely clean. The hosts were very kind and helpful, I felt at home. The location if a perfect site because you are walking distance from most of the monastery trails. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting meteora.

Great placePosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent place to stay to visit Meteora. Only a €5 taxi fare into Kalambaka, but very close to Meteora. We walked up and around which was great if you are reasonably fit. Beautiful outlook and peaceful surrounding. There is pool across the road at the camping ground that we used for €5 as it was quite hot.Great stay overall. Would definitely recommend.

What a view!Posted Jun 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
When visiting Meteora, this is the place to stay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The view of Meteora is panoramic. The breakfast buffet is substantial. This hotel is dedicated to excellence at the level of details but very affordable. When we return to Meteora, we will definetely stay at Doupiani House.

Charming, clean and with great views.Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: the room
Cons: no laundry service
Location: it's not in the center of town, which means a walk of 10-30 minutes to "downtown" Kalambaki. But it's quiet and beautiful.
The hotel is like an old, traditional lodge that's been updated. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the views from the room and from the patio are spectacular. Most guests had rental cars, because it's not in the center of town. I didn't, so walked 10 minutes to some good restaurants or, when I was tired, took a cab (4 euros, five minutes). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, minibar or any of that stuff, if it's important to you. It wasn't to me. I really loved the place and one of the locals said "You're staying in the best hotel in the whole area." I agree.

A good choice for Meteora visitorsPosted May 27, 2013
I spent two nights here while visiting Meteora and would happily return. The hotel is well maintained, the rates are reasonable, the service is friendly and helpful, and the location is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast on the terrace is nice.

Excellent location, great staffPosted May 18, 2013
Pros: Location, guesthouse itself, staff and views
Location: Finding it is simple if you head straight into Kastraki, a couple of kms from Kalambaka. As you get there follow the guesthouse's signs.
Views/setting are probably the best in the area. Finding it is simple if you head straight into Kastraki, a couple of kms from Kalambaka. As you get there follow the guesthouse's signs.

Great value for moneyPosted May 9, 2013
Superb location with amazing views of Meteora. This hotel is excellent value for money & we will definitely use it again if we return to the area. Toula & Thanassis, the owners, made us feel very welcome.

It's literally at the base of Grand Metoera and the starting point for trekking up there. View is awesome. Owners are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean.

Put an extra night here on your itinerary!Posted Apr 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Meteors is amazing, and Doupiani house helped turn our time here extraordinary. The location is fantastic, as is the facility and service. You can walk right off the premises and be amidst the landscape, and the breakfast was great. My group spent an evening having drinks in the bar area, and nothing could have been better other than to have more time.

Misleading descriptionPosted Nov 3, 2012
This hotel does NOT have a restaurant and does NOT have spa bath for guest use despite the misleading description. Bath's have no bath plug - so you cannot use them. Our shower could not be hooked up and there was no shower curtain - so you couldn't use that either. Quad rooms are 3 bed rooms with an extra bed leaving no room to walk around. Hotel was however spotless and very clean. Very disappointing
