Guesthouse Arsenis was amazing! I visited during the "off season", but the weather was still beautiful. The location could not have been better. It was a two minute drive into town and amazingly close to the monasteries. The view from my room and the dining area was gorgeous. Checking in was super simple and I had a chance to talk to the owner and his mother (who were both very, very kind!). The house and land have been in their family for generations and they have clearly taken very good care of it! The whole experience was very peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer and would love to go back!

The rooms were clean and functional, but the beds were too hard for us. The breakfast was also very nice. The hotel has its own large car park so it is very easy to find a space, and the surrounding area is gorgeous including the olive groves proudly run by the hotel. The owner really tries to provide a welcoming environment but can be over-friendly and could make you feel uncomfortable, especially as a female traveller, though we (mother and adult daughter) felt he was harmless and just trying to ensure a good stay/review. He gave us free bottles of water and Meteora fridge magnets each.

So ol school. Inconvenient paymemt sysyem. Food is terrible. The ownser wants you to spend money from tge moment u arrive. Wanted to make a phone call (collext) to which he said *Money too expensie!

메테오라 뒤편에 위치하고 있으며 주변은 들판으로 아무것도 없고 탁 트인 전망이 아주 좋습니다. 방은 깨끗하게 관리가 잘 되어 있어서 하룻밤 묶어 가기에 좋았습니다. 자기 차량이 있어야 볼수 있는 위치입니다.

Great and quite place to stay
It was a very pleasant stay! The guesthouse is comfortable, the room was very nice, clean, with a great view. Breakfast is nice, you can have a nice dinner prepared under mother's supervision :) Location is stand-alone into the nature, 2km to Kalampaka and less than 1km to Meteora monasteries. I do recommend Arsenis! Это было очень приятное пребывание! Гостевой дом удобный, комната была очень хорошая, чистая, с отличным видом. Хороший завтрак, вы можете получить вкусный ужин, приготовленый под присмотром мамы :) Расположение автономное в природе, в 2 км от Каламбаки и менее чем в 1 км от монастырей Метеоры. Я рекомендую Арсенис!

Twilight Zone, don't do it.
This place is like a weird Twilight Zone-- beautiful setting but strange atmosphere...pass it by and stay in the fun downtown.

Enchanted
This beautiful guesthouse is set amongst olive and fig trees and shepherds in the hills with their flocks. Walking up the hill to the Holy Trinity, you can hear tin bells jingling on cows and goats and sheep. It's an enchanting experience. The Arsenis family creates a wonderful experience, complete with some of the best food I had in Greece ... everything is local and tastes fresh and flavorful.

Great place, great staff nice location
The host was extremely helpful on check in as well as forgiving us directions to get around the Meteora area. They even had free maps and inexpensive guidebooks on hand to help us out. Everything flowed very smoothly and the host spoke pretty good English too.

Worth more than what you pay.
This place was great especially for the price. The dinner was amazing and the olive oil was delicious. It's from their own trees and you can buy some. I highly recommend taking a bottle home. The check in was quick and the guy At the front, this is his family's place was great. He gave us great pointers.

A hotel that will feel like home
The family and the hotel are so lovely, I will be back soon! I was only going to stay in Kalambaka for one night but extended my trip to one week. I really enjoyed how the hotel is in the hills instead of the Kalambaka because it is so peaceful and the views are amazing. Each room has a balcony with beautiful views of Meteora or the Pindos Mountains. My room has two beds (one double and one twin) which was nice but I was traveling alone so I didn't use the other one. Sheets and towels were changed every day and the floors were mopped so the room was always clean. I felt like a member of the family here. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day and really enjoyed it. The meals are the same, however!!! Breakfast is ham/cheese, coffee, crackers, bread, jams, juice and coffee and dinner is greek salad, souvlaki, sausage, french fries, bread, and cinnamon apple for desert. I did not mind having the same food every morning and night because it was homemade and really delicious. If you are staying longer, you can ask the family for other dinner meals such as chicken or omelet. All the reviews are correct about the family. The owner's son can be pushy and opinionated at times, but his parents are true gems. They are a lovely family and I really did not mind the the owner's son because everything else about the place was so comfortable and nice. He is a genuinely kind person who just has a strong personality which is forgivable. I will bring my whole family here soon!

OK budget option close to Meteora
The hotel and room were fairly basic but had everything we needed - comfortable beds and good AC, with a good sized Balcony and views of Meteora. Room was clean and bathroom was fine, if a little small. Check in process was quick and trouble-free. The hotel is a couple of miles out of town so you really need your own transport to get there and into Kalambaka.

We came late at night but the host was so hospitable and friendly and made us feel right at home from the start. The hotel has been in the family for years and you can feel the sense of pride and tradition when staying there. The views surrounding the hotel are beautiful and the location is convenient for those visiting the monasteries. The room itself is comfortable enough for the price.

Peaceful location in the mountain, good setting to get ready for the monasteries! Very warm welcome from a passionate family. We were offered great grilled meat and sausages fit supper. Very god homemade breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. I would love to go back anytime, and recommend warmly this place!

Nice remote house in the countryside. We were accommodated in a middle sized room with a very nice view toward the olive garden around the house. There was a small balcony with a table and chairs. The room and the bath were clean but a bit outdated and basic. The breakfast was basic too but enough, with very tasty olives and yogurt. The owner was very very friendly and helpful. There is no nice scenic view toward the rocks as in Kalampaka, but it you prefer a more relaxed place to stay it is ok enough. We would stay again.

En rigtig god oplevelse
Opholdet var fantastisk. Der var virkelig god service om man fornemmer tydelogt at stedet er drevet af en familie der vil gøre alt hvad de kan for at man nyder opholdet. Den gode stemning opvejer for at stedet ikke ligger lige ud til Meteora bjergene. Der er dog også en smuk udsigt fra alle værelser på dette sted.Skal vi komme med et kritikpunkt må det være at sengene er hårde, men det er ikke anderledes end alle andre steder vi har været i Grækenland. Tak for en god oplevelse.

Une nuit aux Météores
La guest house Arseni est idealement située à 2 km des Météores sur un coteau dominant la plaine de Kalambaka , au milieu d'oliveraies, au calme L'endroit est reposant, cela contraste avec le flot de touristes défilant dans les monastères. Le patron est chaleureux , l'accueil est bon enfant . Les chambres sont fonctionnelles, décorées dans le style montagnard. Nous y avons dîné le soir de notre arrivée. Le repas était simple ,très bon et copieux. Bref c'est un endroit à recommander. De plus, le rapport qualite/prix est interessant.

Emplacement très bien un peu à l'écart de la ville. Chambre très propre très claire avec un grand balcon et vue sur la montagne. Petit déjeuner bon et copieux. Le seul point négatif serait le manque de confort du matelas

Schönes sauberes ruhiges Zimmer. Leider das einfache Abendessen und Getränke völlig überteuert. Das Frühstück von der Auswahl hingegen entsprach etwas besser als erwartet. Leider nur jeden Morgen warmen Kaffee und trockenes Weißbrot. Ausflug zu den Meteoraklöstern in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Trotzdem eine empfehlungswürdige Unterkunft bei einem moderatem Preis.

Mitten im Klostertal
Das Guesthouse liegt ideal für Ausflüge zu den Klostern von Meteora. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber zweckmässig. Das typische traditionelle Abendessen ist sehr lecker. Wenn der Chef nicht im Haus ist, ist man aufgeschmissen wenn man nicht Griechisch spricht. Und wenn das Internet mal wieder zu langsam ist muss man froh sein, wenn man genügend Bares hat um die Rechnung zu bezahlen. Als Hotelier hät ich mir schon längst eine antike Ritsch-Ratsch-Maschine gesichert.

Grande guesthouse con vista sulle Meteore
Siamo stati molto bene in questa bella e grande casa affacciata proprio dulle Meteore e fuori dal traffico di Kalambaka. Stanza graziosa con balcone e vista. Ottima prima colazione e cena con prodotti locali. Gentilissimo il proprietario Panos, che parla un po di italiano ed é sempre disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza. Consigliato!

Perfetto per visitare le Meteore
La struttura si trova poco fuori Kalambaka, sul percorso per visitare i sei monosteri delle Meteore. L'accoglienza del personale è familiare, ma molto professionale. Molte camere (compresa la nostra)hanno una bella vista sulle Meteore e la colazione è curata e abbondante.
