There must be better ones

Pros: location, air conditioning, Internet connection, hot water, nice people
Cons: Medieval plumbing, awful beds, mostly awful food.
Location: If Meteora isn't on your bucket list, it should be. One of the most spectacular places on the planet. Truly breathtaking sights.
Hate to say this, because the people running this place couldn't be nicer, but it's not the best hotel out there. Three beds shoehorned into a room that's barely big enough for one? What were they thinking? Rock-hard beds at that. And a smelly bathroom, lumpy pillows, instant coffee, powdered orange drink and stale white bread for breakfast - not something I'd willingly undergo again. At least the Internet and the a/c worked. And one day, the Greek yogurt with honey was excellent. And it couldn't be more convenient to the Meteora - two minute drive and you think you're on another planet.

Lovely But...

Excellent service, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, bright clean rooms. So what was wrong you ask? The beds were hard; seem to be sleeping on a box spring without a mattress. Otherwise, this was a very good find.

We ended up staying longer than we originally planned...The town and people our wonderful. The setting at the hotel is great for families, whether having a hot tea or a glass of wine you can relax.
