Convenient Location Friendly StaffPosted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Its location and facilities
Cons: The taxi dispatch area seems a bit cramped and can be improved.
Location: Close to the heart of the city Next door to Movietowne mall (great restaurants) 10 mins taxi drive to IMAX cinema
This hotel is ideally located near the centre of the city Port-of-Spain, but the great thing is that it is right next door to the movie town mall and 10 mins cab drive away from the IMAX cinema. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly and the general appearance of the hotel an its facilities are pleasing.

I was there for 4 days and was absolutely satisfied with the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Perfect location to walk around to small mall next door. Very central location.

Best Marriot I have Stayed InPosted May 5, 2015
Pros: The people and staff, all locals from Trinidad. They are the most friendly and competent I have encountered anywhere.
Cons: If they put a kitchen in the rooms and had monthly rates, I would live there.
Location: There is a mall and a kids fun park right next door. A perfect place to mix with the locals who are friendly and greet you with a smile.
The Courtyard Marriot in Port of Spain, Trinidad was excellent. I am a rewards member and have been to quite a few. The staff at the Trinidad Marriot was by far the most courteous and helpful I have encountered. Everyone was so friendly. It is staffed by locals, and they are incredibly polite and competent. More so than some of the ones in the USA. The place was clean and safe. So was the surrounding area. One person stood out because of 1.His professionalism and 2. His name, Jean Luke. He told me his father named him after Jean Luc Picard from the show Star Trek the Next Generation. You cannot go wrong with that! I would live there if I could.

Nice hotelPosted Apr 15, 2015
Checked in was quick. Bellman were available. The staff made extra effort to get food for us even though they were about to close. The chef came out of the kitchen to ask how we like our meal. Keep in mind that it was almost midnight when we arrived. They were a class act .

Beautiful HotelPosted Mar 24, 2015
Courtyard Marriott is a beautiful hotel and the staff is extremely helpful. However, it is also extremely expensive and do not offer their guest with anything complimentary. Everything must be paid for, from water bottles, local phone calls and laundry services. Beautiful hotel, but I will not stay again

About par for the course...good locationPosted Mar 10, 2015
Location: "Movietowne" and the Plaza almost attached to the hotel offers excitement to an otherwise run-of-the-mill bland hotel.
It's a good clean well run hotel in a great location close by to activity areas and places of interest...the hotel itself doesn't boast much to do. The restaurant doesn't have much choices and it's not open 24/7. The refrigerator didn't keep my ice cream cold.

This hotel was located close to nothing.Posted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Port of Spain is the capital of Trinidad. It is an industrial city. Without a seaside location, you take a lot of cabs to locations.
Cons: The pool was small and located between 2 buildings.
The staff was polite and helpful. The motel was clean. The location was close to a movie theater - Movieland - and that was it. We transferred to another hotel.
