It was alrightPosted Dec 6, 2013
My first room the door wouldn't lock. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. There's rust all over the bathroom area. Checkout manager was extremely rude. She said that I couldn't get a receipt because it was through Expedia.

dont stay here!Posted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was in poor condition, the staff was impolite and unknowledgable about the area. The breakfast comprised of yogurt and stale bread and danishes.

Nice bang for the buckPosted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: You get a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, & breakfast for less than you pay at the Hampton. You also get an AC/heat unit that works!
I used to stay at the Hampton in Troy, but I though I'd save a few bucks this time and booked at the Quality Inn. It was worth it: I got everything they had at the Hampton for considerably less money. I'll stay at the Quality next time I'm in Troy. Is it a palace? No. Have I stayed in better hotels? Yes, but I also paid more. Did I feel like I got what I paid for? Absolutely. I got that and more.

Reasonably Pleasant FacilityPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: The staff was pleasant and the general atmosphere of the location acceptable.
Cons: The facility is beginning to show its age. Erosion is occurring at some of the spots where the rain drains on to the porch and other surfaces.
Location: There were several restaurants in the area. This made the location appealing.
Our experience at the location was pleasant, the room was stocked as expected and there no drama occurred while we stayed there. We were on a leisure time schedule and the breakfast time schedule tends to favor those on a demand schedule. Actually, I am not sure whether an adjustment to the schedule could ever satisfy all. This is especially the case for days when occupancy is on the low side. Never the less being open to 11:00 would have been more accommodating to our schedule.

Convenient Location Right On Hwy. 231Posted Oct 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Positives: Comfortable bed, air-conditioned, friendly staff. Cons: hotel needs lots of work. In our room, the refrigerator didn't work properly, missing light bulbs, phone was non-functioning. Also, online description indicated a sofa bed in the room but there wasn't. The staff was quick to try to rectify our issues but overall I wouldn't choose this location again unless renovations are done.

The smell of the room was sickening. Like an old dirty ashtray. Luckily I had a can of air freshener with me. I sprayed the whole can and left the room for a while. The whole place needs to be updated. There were no trash cans outside, therefore, there was trash all around the parking area and side walk. There was a party going on above us until 1:30 am so sleep did not come easy. Since this was homecoming weekend in the college town, there were no other rooms available (and I did book early). Otherwise I would have stayed somewhere else. The bed was very uncomfortable. For what it was, the rate should have been half the price. So overall, not satisfied at all.
