Excellent hotel in perfect location.Posted Oct 20, 2012
Pros: The location and the staff.
Cons: The room was a bit cramped, and the A/C had been turned off.
Location: In the heart of the historic center.
The manager was extremely helpful and considerate.

Great hotel in centre of TroyesPosted Sep 2, 2012
Very nice hotel in centre of Troyes - lovely old wooden-framed buildings. Very attentive & friendly staff.

Highly recommended stop-overPosted Jul 25, 2012
Pros: Friendly, clean, good location, good / secure parking
Cons: room a bit small
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location could not be better for the town centre, the free facilities were a pleasant surprise (e.g. free internet and provision of a PC, toiletries, razor, toothbrushes if needed), the room was spotless, parking was close and secure. The only adverse comment we have is that room was on the small side (but absolutely adequate for one night). We did not try the breakfast (though it looked fine) but explored the town and found breakfast at Le Foy for €6.80.

Extremely Helpful StaffPosted Oct 1, 2011
After a longer than anticipated drive to Troyes we were tired and struggling to find the underground car park. My partner walked along the pedestrianised street to find the hotel where the owner gave us directions and then offered to walk back to the car and drive with me to the car park - this was certainly an excellent welcome and service beyond the call of duty. We had booked one of the standard rooms but were offered a slighly larger 'comfort' room at the same price. The owners and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful - giving us tips on where to visit and obviously very keen that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in the beautiful town. The room overlooked a narrow street of medieval houses with plenty of cafes and restaurants just outside. However, the windows were quadruple glazed so there was no noise at all. The hotel itself is in an ancient timber-framed building in the heart of Troyes and has been stylishly decorated inside with a smart lounge area complete with massage chairs, books and CDs. The bar and breakfast areas also looked excellent although we decided that with so many choices just outside the door the extra cost for breakfast was a little too steep. We would certainly go back again and, judging by some of the other hotels nearby, this certainly represented good value as well as having genuinely welcoming and helpful staff.

Lovely building and location, but very noisy streetPosted Sep 14, 2011
Noisy street, with youths shouting well into the small hours. Other rooms at the hotel cost twice as much as ours did; presumably they are quiet.
