Pros: IL PERSONALE ERA GENTILE
Cons: IL CONFORT NELLE STANZE, LA COLAZIONE E I MOBILI NELLE STANZE.
AVEVAMO PRENOTATO UN TRULLO, PER EUR 200 A NOTTE. ERA BELLO MA MOLTO "BASIC" COME ARREDAMENTO, MATERASSO MOLTO VECCHIO E MOBILI MOLTO VECCHI. NIENTE TV. NON E' UN 5 STELLE MA UNA PENSIONE DI 2 STELLE. IL BAGNO E' MOLTO VECCHIO. NOI SIAMO RIMASTI SENZA RICALDAMENTO, DOPO VARIE RICHIESTE IL TECHNICO E ' VENUTO ED IL RICALDAMENTO HA FUNZIONATO PER UN ORA E POI PIU' NIENTE, FACEVA MOLTO FREDDO NELLA STANZA PER TUTTA LA NOTTE. LA MATTINA CI HANNO CHIAMATO ALLE 9.45 DICENDOCI CHE LA STANZA /TRULLO ANDAVA LIBERATO ENTRO LE 10.00 DI MATTINA,. ASSURDO ! AL RISTORANTE IL MAGIARE NON ERA MOLTO BUONO. NON VALEVA QUELLO CHE CI HANNO FATTO PAGARE (160 EUR IN DUE SENZA VINO). LA NOTTE C'ERA RUMORE PERCHE' HANNO ALLESTITO PER UN MATRIMONIO MA PROPRIO FUORI DAL NOSTRO TRULLO - TANTISSIMO RUMORE DA PARTE DEGLI OPERAI. NON E' ACCETTABILIE PER QUELLO CHE ABBIAMO PAGATO PER IL TRULLO.

Very peaceful rural location

Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: Good sized rooms with a large double bed (biggar than king size). Excellent extensive breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.
Location: Inland and very rural. Visit Alberobello, Cisternino, Castellana grotto, Ostuni, Mateera, Lecce. Safari park close by
An out of season stay in late May in a room in one of the half dozen or masseria that are scattered around the extensive grounds. The Trulli village looked good but was probably really noisy at weekends when there is invariably a wedding on. Very few people staying which meant the outside pool was a people free zone and the excellent breakfast buffet was a laid back affair with plenty of time to chat with the great staff. Although the dinner was excellent with local specialities on the menu it was expensive so we ate out most nights ( good places within a mile or so). In all a good base to see most of the interesting places in Puglia but you need a car.

Great hotel for resting

Posted May 17, 2015
One pice of advice: don't drive over if it's night time since streets are very narrow. We loved the hotel it was so luxurious and comfortable in all senses! Rooms looked new and they have spa like facilities. It's not a hotel for a one night stay

einsam

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: Die gesamte Anlage ist wirklich etwas besonderes
Cons: Nein

Great Place to Visit

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, the staff, the restaurant
Cons: Cleanliness of the floors in the rooms
Location: Wineries, Trulli Houses, Monopoli
Hotel Tenuta Monacelle is truly a superb place to stay. The staff was very helpful in finding local attractions as well as providing quality service. The restaurant was phenomenal with great food and fast service. The downside was the room cleanliness, but it was really not a big issue other than dirt on the floor. This could be attributed to our early season visit, but we will definately visit here again.

Ghost town

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: The food was very good. The waiter on our first nights was very helpful. The countryside is beautiful.
Cons: See above.
Location: Alberobello and Locorotunda were beautiful but given the time of year many places - even towns such as Ostunia were closed.
When we arrived there was no one on reception which was quite perturbing. We tried phoning but the numbers didn't work. The receptionist did appear and took us to our room. The menus was limited because it was off season. If you don't speak any Italian this might be a big problem. The room was basic and cleaned regularly to a good standard but there was a problem with ants and the overall impression was that it was tired and needed some time m ding the shower, replacing batteries in safe etc.

This is a beautiful, well kept property (although a bit difficult to find) with an excellent restaurant and lovely rooms. The location is isolated but good for exploring the surrounding attractions. I would highly recommend staying here.
