“Decent, nice atmosphere and one of the few around”
The hotel fulfills expectations. Price reflects location - close to Grand Canyon and right near local attractions. The Navajo Museum is instructive, the Trading Post has a nice selection of gifts. The restaurant could be more upbeat - service was extremely slow even if not many customers were present. Food was good though.
“Unfreindly and impersonal”
We asked for first floor told they could not accommodate us. We were forced to stay the night. In room we discovered that instead of regular pillows we had throw pillow sized pillows. We called down to the desk and asked for regular pillows but were told they were on order!! That does us no good -had an uncomfortable, sleepless night. Staff very unfriendly and have a too bad we already hav eyour money attitude. The internet was so slow as to be useless . In the morning we discover there were also an issue with the shower. This is not what we have come to expect from a Quality inn. Not on main route but not far from it. Are is a bit sleezy -stopping for gas we were approached by a drunk for a handout.
“What a great place. Friendly staff. Fry bread in lobby. YUM!”
Location is excellent- next to the Hogan Restaurant (great breakfast) and Navajo Way (historic displays). For shopping, next to Tuba City Trading Post. Room was very comfortable and staff was very friendly. Convenient to Grand Canyon. I would definitely stay there again. AND they grow roses around the inn. Not easy in that climate.
“totally is good”
good for traveller
“Grand Canyon Motel”
The hotel was worth the money that we paid! It was close to the Grand Canyon, and the rooms were a good size. Breakfast was alright.
“OK if your expectations are low; friendly front desk person; free breakfast is good”
Didn't expect much when booking this as I knew I'd arrive late and leave early. The ceiling is very thin and squeaky as the guests above us could he heard walking around. We couldn't sleep til 11pm and were awaken before 5am. I liked to get coupons for a free breakfast at the diner next door. I should have stayed at Tuba City's 'Moenkopi Legacy Inn N Suites' and trusted the high reviews ratings. I hadn't booked that one as there were no pictures on Expedia....had I seen picutres of the hotel - seemed brand new from the outside - it would have been a no brainer to go with Moenkopi for the same price as the Quality Inn.
“hotel basic but comfortable”
a good night for a stopover during my trip to monument valley. free email/coffee in lobby a bonus - although coffee was cold! only down side was the meal in the adjacent restaurant - easily the worst meal experience this year. service very poor. asked for medium/rare steak and got it almost raw - when brought back after re-cooking it was 'well done'. i was too tired to send it back again. no alcohol available so had to do with a sprite!!! breakfast next morning wasn't much better. found restaurant staff disinterested with no desre to offer a friendly, good service.
“Simply a good hotel.”
Everything OK.
“Good, not great”
No elevator, so you have to lug your bags up/down stairs, and for some rooms, going through the lobby was the route. Internet access was in the lobby, and the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Just not quite up to the level of more "deluxe" motels.
“excellent place to stay”
We enjoyed the clean room and the restaurant next door.
