Comfortable hotel

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: We like the aura of this hotel. It's comfortable and cozy. Absolutely loved the continental breakfasts!!
Cons: Repairs could be made in a more timely manner
Location: Close to downtown and easy access to the freeway. Also love that the streetcar stops right in front of the hotel.
My husband and I stayed here for a week two years ago and was very comfortable so decided to stay again this year. They have made some improvements and again, we were very comfortable. The staff was all new from two years ago and most of the front desk staff were nice enough, but very young and seemed inexperienced. They do offer wi-fi, but we don't have a laptop nor cell phone and was relying on being able to use the guest computer in the lounge ,but same as two years ago, it was broken. We were told it had a virus, so after the 4th day there, I asked if it was going to be fixed. The young man at the front desk stated that it was a brand new computer and the data wasn't downloaded on it yet - it was the same computer that was there the day we arrived. When I called him on the lie, he got very nasty with me - very unprofessional. After this confrontation, we were later told that this was indeed the same old computer. Also, the ice machine quit working the second day we were there. We informed the desk staff, but it didn't get fixed. All in all, we had a nice stay and yes, we would stay there again.

This Hotel needs maintenance badly.

This hotel was right off the freeway and the breakfast was good. That's the only positive things I have to say about it. Kayla was really nice and accomadating. The second day housekeeping didn't clean my room. I guess they forgot. So I was moved to another room. The air conditioner didnt work in that room and when I told the clerk he told me that there wasnt anything he could do about it and since I was leaving at noon. He showed no concern or regard about me being uncomfortable. The rooms were also run down but I think they are making improvements. Either way I'll never stay there again.

Weekend Social Getaway

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Full breakfast was very good. Rooms were quiet, even though the hotel is located right off the I-10 freeway.
Cons: Beds could be updated.
Location: We were close to the Shrine Temple where our meeting was being held, and there were lots of restaurants nearby to choose from for good eats.
This is a very nice facility. The beds could be more comfortable. Especially nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Liked the fact that there were dual sinks - one in the shower & toilet area - one just outside the bathroom door. Patio was a very nice touch and the view of the pool was also nice. Kudos to the gal who checked us in, as she was johnny on the spot with getting the phone to work and the lights to come on in the room.

best of minimal choices

Breakfast was great except there were no drinks other than coffee and water. 2 separate house cleaning carts had no shower towels available, and there were no amenities like shampoo/conditioner. 2/4 lights in our room were broken so the room was very dark. Hotel is definitely not walking distance to city center, but there is a cab service that will pick you up in just a few minutes.

Cockaroach was found in my room and the pool was broken. Staff refunded my room with no problems.

Price should have indicated the service

Pros: The price was the best part but we will not recommend this place to anyone.
Cons: The hotel is in need of some renovations such cleaning the pool and sprucing up rooms. The lobby area was the only section that was kept up.
Location: There was nothing around the hotel to really do. There are trails but nothing else. No places to dine at other than a fast food place and a Denny's
Our stay at Riverpark Inn started out well. The front desk attendant was so polite and helpful. The food from the restaurant and breakfast was lacking. The room was okay. The shower had mildew stains, a lamp was broken, and there was a hole in the wall by one of the beds. The hotel was probably a thing to see in the past but time and lack of care have taken a toll. The pool was dirty and construction was going on. The worst part was there were no restaurants or stores around the hotel.

This is an older property with repairs going on. The room was comfortable and the hotel located near where I needed to be. However, it clearly needs new paint and carpets and maintenance items. For example, the deain stoppers in tge sunk and bathtub were missing.
