Filthy Hotel inside and out

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: needs repair
Location: 4th avenue is near along with university area
The lobby was literally falling down, ceiling texture was on the floor and on the coffee pots. The staff was zombie like and unable to answer questions or make a copy. The entire property seems to be falling apart, the room had several moist patches on walls and ceilings, the sheets were filthy, the carpets were dirty, the tv control did not work. The only good thing was lots of hot water.

Comfortable

Posted Mar 18, 2014
This is an older Motel. Could use a little TLC. There was some hair in the bathroom, which is a definite no-no. Beds were very comfortable. We would use this motel again.

This hotel has seen better days

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel manager
Cons: Parking lot could be cleaned. Room could be cleaned better.
Location: Easy access to the I-10 freeway in south Tucson. About half way between the airport and the down town area.
When I arrived at the hotel I tried to cancel my reservation because it was in a very poor and scary part of town. The grounds were run down and the buildings and fences had paint chipping off. There was junk in the parking lot including a stack of discarded mattresses. Being a woman by myself I didn't feel safe being there. I tried to find an Expedia phone number to try to cancel the reservation without being charged for one night but was unable to locate one. I ended up having to stay since I was not allowed to cancel unless it was 48 hours prior to arrival. The hotel said they could have cancelled the reservation if I hadn't purchased through a 3rd party. I certainly learned my lesson. To the credit of the hotel manager who lived on site with his family, he gave me the room right next to their apartment so I would feel safer.
