“Non-smokers should try somewhere else”

I paid in advance for a non-smoking room. When I arrived they said all they had left were smoking rooms. The hallway was filled with smoke. The people in rooms next to me smoked, and my room filled with smoke through the bathroom vents.

“Will stay there again”

The breakfast buffet was worth it. Staff were very nice and the area was very convenient and easy to get in and out of. Will definitely stay there again.

“Cannot wait to return”

Easy to find,all the staff very freindly, we would stay there again without a second thought. Centrally loacated for lots of sight seeing activities. Staff went out of the way to be helpful. Pool clean and warm.

“Pet friendly????”

We always stop in Green Valley before we cross the Border on our way to Mazatlan, MX. This is the first year we have traveled with a pet so had to make a change from our regular place we stay. We could only get a smoking room with a pet? The room smelled like a combination of a dog toilet, a cat litterbox, a cigar bar, and an attempt to cover it all with the worst smelling deoderizer they could find. My dog was even offended. To be fair though, it may have been better in a non pet room? And the breakfast was very good. My choice for Green Valley is the Wyndham Canoa Ranch, but they don't take pets.

Area recommendations

South of Green Valley 5 miles at the Wyndham Canoa Ranch. A great place to stay. The run a lot of special offers and are sometimes the least expensive in Green Valley. A good Restuerant on site. Great pool and Desert sunsets.

“We will be back.”

This is a nice little place in what used to be the middle of nowhere. I was surprised to find the level of service we found here. The room was clean and comfy, it had the coldest air conditioner I've ever had in a hotel room! The breakfast buffet was a little weak in the eggs, omelets and biscuits and gravy department but the staff friendliness and willingness to help and engage made up for it. All of the other items, bread, bagels, cereal, yogurt, and beverages were excellent. One caution, do not expect too much from the pool. It is inside, which in the desert is a good thing, but it is small, only 5 feet deep and had a lot of desert bugs floating in it, including a few desert cockroaches! I understand this comes with the territory and is not the fault of management. The hot tub was very hot and had great microscopic bubbles. This did not take away from our overall good experience, however. Both me and my boy did not want to leave!

Must see

The hotel is just down the street from the Titan Missile Museum which is a great place to get your nuclear weapons, corrosive hypergolic propellent, cold war history fix. If you are a ham radio operator, be sure to bring your HF rig and hook up to their old Andrew discone antenna. It covers from 2 to 30mHz and you don't need no antenna tuner. I had a lot of fun with it. First contact was Wales. Also visit the Pima Aerospace Museum and take the bus tour of AMARG, the old and some not so old military aircraft storage/boneyard.

Shopping

Just across the freeway is a Super Walmart with other places, banks, etc. A forgetful traveler's oasis.

Dining

The hotel is walking distance from an Arby's and a well stocked mini-mart.

“Will Stay Here Again”

The Staff was excellent, the room immaculate, the hotel quiet and clean. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and fresh. Nice hotel to stay in after a long drive - quiet area, yet close to shopping and theater. They'll see me everytime I'm in the area.

Went down for the Tubac Arts Festival...close to Tubac, but much cheaper to stay at.

“Holiday Inn Express, Green Valley”

I was very pleased with this hotel. Having stayed in GV for years,I have stayed at most of the hotels at one time or another. This was the best for a modest price.

Traveler's tip

The little restaurant over by the show has awesome "flat iron" steaks for only $12.95 or so. Remember everything in GV shuts down EARLY!

“Bargain!”

Was worried because the special was only half of what Green Valley's lodgings charge ordinarily. But everything, especially the very expanded breakfast, was great. Had stayed earlier at a special price somewhere and was asked to pay extra for the wireless service, but that was included in the special here.

“Older Hotel, needs a remodel”

Rooms were clean but outdated and the general hotel look like it could use a update.I would not recommend you stay here. The pro's free breakfeast and a bowling alley right next door to the Hotel.
