It's in transition to a Clarion Inn

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Room couldn't be nicer. Everything was first-rate.
Cons: Only one staff on duty. Check-in took the better part of an hour.
Location: Not really an airport hotel. In fact, it's in the middle of nowhere. A car is essential if you stay here.
There was no identifying sign when I arrived. They did honor everyhing set up with Expedia. However, I am sure Expedia will check this place out under new name, then update its listing.

Clean but needs upgrade

Posted Dec 26, 2014
The staff was friendly for the most part. The room service hours are wrong on the in room pamphlet. Before arriving I called to check the size of the beds in the rooms before booking and received wrong information and when I brought it up to management they said there was nothing the could do. Yet the hotel was not full.

You get what you pay for....

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: close to casinos and downtown
Cons: the lobby was very nice but as soon as you stepped into the hotel area it looked liked the projects.
Room was quiet and and very comfortable. No micro wave or fridge in room which kinda sucked because we bought snacks and drinks. Stayed on 6th floor and of course the ice-machine was not working that well.

Felt insecure

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Very good price and room amenities were fine.
Cons: Offer free breakfast and coffee.
Location: Not a good location for services (restaurants or coffee shops other than that offered by the hotel.
Scary entrance to rooms with door to parking lot that closed slowly so it felt insecure. Card in room with warnings about guest safety only enforced the insecurity, as did the knock at the door for maintenance that had not been requested. The huge lobby was dark and uninviting.

Not what I expected

Posted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had reserved 2 beds non smoking and the only thing they could give me was smoking room with 2 beds. Awful and we went an bought a room freshner. The downstairs Ice machine was broken had to go up elevator to 2nd floor which is ok when the elevator your in works. Stairs were locked and there was a roach on my food in the bar. The breakfast took us over 30 minutes to get them to take order and no water or coffee was ever offered. Would never stay there again.

Okay to stay if you have to

Posted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had to stay here because it was Parents weekend at a local large university, Everything else was booked for 25 miles. The neighborhood is commercial/industrial. The warning note about security on the dresser scared me a lttle bit. The fixtures are worn, but it looks like they do their best to keep it clean. There was no coffee available for guests, so I purchased some to go at the restaurant on property and was treated nastily and charged $3 a cup!! Carpeting was in terrible dirty shape throughout hotel. I went to look at the pool which was pretty, but the small dead snake made me think better of getting in it.

I'm OK, but not my wife's favorite

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: location, design, pool, lobby
Cons: cleanliness, lack of staff employed, services offered
Location: Nothing. no grocery stores, no restaurants nearby.
we were denied fresh towels. there are no towels to use at the pool. the carpet, chairs, couch all had stains on them. the bathroom counter was dirty. they seemed to alternate between quick buffet breakfast and slow, crowded sit-down breakfast on different days..... Hmmmm wasn't breakfast supposed to be included? I don't remember getting any coupons, and I definitely paid. Bed was mostly comfortable. design of place is fantastic. Love the room and hotel layout. it must have be a really great place 30 years ago.
