Tired in Tucson

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the events we were attending. Nothing else
Cons: For all intents and purposes the facility is a total loss. It needs to be razed and something new built in its place
Location: Given our itinerary the location was well suited. There are several descent restaurants nearby and we had our choice of coffee places to try.
Arrived late morning after calling ahead to notify of early arrival. After an initial perplexed period trying to determine if a room was available the clerk promptly placed us in a corner room nearest I10. A comment in this regard elicited a frown from the front desk clerk who proceeded to process our check-in with no eye contact or any effort to engage. We were handed our keys and the desk clerk turned and walked away. I understand the concept of a cheap hotel being outmoded, tattered and such but this property falls squarely into the dive category. Broken shower, poor cable reception, badly stained carpet and bedspread, sink and tub that drained slowly at best...this is a partial list. To top it off, we found the two lumpy "micro" pillows supplied were insufficient. When we asked for additional pillows the front desk person, though friendly, was adamant when advising this was not an option. The excuse being she did not have access to the linen supply closet. When asked how full they were she advised about 30%. I offered the suggestion of pulling from an empty room which was not well received. I was flatly told no, the tone no longer friendly. All that aside, the mattress was not a total loss and we slept well until a drunken brawl in the parking lot woke us. Sleep was a bit hit and miss thereafter. In the morning we pulled ourselves together, packed our vehicle with a vow never to return and a lesson learned.

Nada recomendable

Posted Dec 8, 2014

Horrible! The phone was broken in half and staff stated it's been like that for a while. Didn't offer a room change!

Cost effective for someone just passing through

Posted Oct 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is just off of I10 which is excalty what I was looking for as i needed to get back on the road the following morning. The staff was ok, nothing terrible, nothing outstanding. The room itself was also average, TV was tiny which was not good trying to watch the postseason baseball game. Along with the TV that needed an upgrade i would recommend they upgrade the shower, looks old and had some rusting going on. The bed was decent so I was able to get a decent nights sleep. Would repeat for the price paid if i was passing through again.

Completely disgusting hotel

Posted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is the absolute worst hotel that i have ever seen. The rooms were so filthy and disgusting and the people milling around outside were of such a seedy nature that we packed up and left shortly after dark. I would avoid this hotel at all costs and and recommend that Hotels.com drops it from the inventory.
