"Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms."
We loved our suite- beautifully decorated and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. The work-out center was nice, and we enjoyed walking around the grounds.

"Excellent views."
My wife and I stayed for five nights. I love the view of the mountains and being able to hit the trails right from the hotel. My wife loved the pool area, which is laid out very well. We both loved the patio area next to the bar. The food and drinks are spendy, but it is easier to swallow because it is such a beautiful, classy place.

"Ritz Carlton review - 30 March - 5 April 2014"
Christian, the Hotel Manager, upgraded our room to a Superior Executive Suite upon arrival once we realized our original room was located in the villages above the pools - it was too far for our son to walk as he has an impaired leg and wears a brace. Christian was very helpful and understanding to accommodate our needs - kudos to him. The facility is very nice and lives up to the Ritz high quality standards. We all enjoyed the 200 foot water slide! The staff were also very pleasant, attentive and helpful. The only negative experience was the poor quality food at Ignite Restaurant on our first night. It was served late and our son's burger was the size of a 1/2 dollar and charred to a black crisp! They returned with a hot dog that wasn't fully heated! The manger acknowledged the chefs were having some issues (to say the least). When you're paying a premium price for a meal and get fast food quality, it is beyond unreasonable. But fortunately the meals served at the other restaurants (Core, Claytons and Latin Grill) were much better . I rate the overall food a satisfactory based upon quality and price. We ate one dinner at Cheesecake Factory and another at California Pizza Kitchen at the Tucson Mall - much better value for comparable quality.

"Pleasant Hotel For Recovery"
I visited Tucson to have an outpatient medical procedure performed the first week in February just down the street from the hotel. There was some sort of convention or event during the first week in February so hotels were pretty booked. I wanted a nice place that was close to the surgery site and the Embassy Suites was reviewed highly. First off, the hotel is very nicely decorated with a contemporary theme of the southwest. This was done with nice dark brown and tan tones and stone veneer that was all tastefully done. Nothing corny like wagon wheels or lassos all around just nicely set up. The hotel has a complimentary cooked breakfast from 6am to 9:30am every day and it is a full proper meal with eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, fruit, bagels, etc... Plus you can have them make you an omelet fresh. The food was not only plentiful but delicious. After my surgery and was recovering in the room, they let my girlfriend make up a tray and bring it to me in the room. I was concerned about noise but the hotel was very quiet and I heard no hallway noise the whole time that I was there so I could recover in peace. The had a lot of people staying there too and yet I still had peace. There is a Fleming's directly next door to the hotel too and we ate there the night we arrived. It was pricey as Fleming's is, but the food and atmosphere were great. There is also a CVS on the same corner so I could get prescriptions and other medical things that I needed.

"In Tuson for Tucson Invitational Games, fastball."
When I first checked into my room, I was disappointed by the worn hide-a-bed couch and chair. For the price, I expected a little more. But after staying at the hotel, and enjoying the amenities, I realized that it had a lot to offer. Beautiful pool, hot tub, excellent breakfast, good location. I soon forgot about the worn couch.

"Very clean, nice lobby and excellent hospitality!"
Child friendly hotel, close to the I-10. Very clean environment. Edward and Maria were very nice. My toddler got sick before bedtime and they were very understanding, Edward brought me clean linens and fresh towels so we didn't have to sleep in stench. (My toddler was car sick from the long drive from San Antonio, Texas to Tuscon, AZ. I will recommend to all my family and friends. Thanks for the great experience!

"I like the lay out of the hotel and the rooms"
The stay was good, rooms where clean and quiet. I asked the front desk about a late check out and I was told that they could not issue me a late check out, that I would have to call in the morning to see if I could get it. The purpose of the late check out is so we could sleep in, so why would I have to get up to see if it's possible, and they said that it was up to the cleaning crew. Don't make sense?????? Other than that it was a great experience.

"We had a great stay!"
We had a great time. The room was ready when we arrived. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. Other reviewers complained about not getting late check in or the fact it is a retirement community. There is a number to call for check ins after 5pm. Just call and let them know ahead of time. Yes. This is in a retirement community. There are restrictions on the times children can be in the pool. It did not bother us. Our son is 14 years old and he had no problem using the pool and hot tub. I loved the fact that there were mostly adults at the pool. Would definately stay again. The only negative we found is that the beds are a little hard. My husband's back hurt after the first night. The matteress did not bother me.
